Newly graduated nurse • Able to work interdependently with members of multi-disciplinary teams • Nine months of nursing experience in hospital environment • Five months experience in Emergency / Critical Care setting • Nursing experience in taking Blood samples and Blood Products Administration; Urinary and Gastric Catheter Insertion; Glucose Point of Care Testing; and Management of Patients with Intravenous Therapy • Basic competency in Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation • Demonstrated competency in Venipuncture to initiate IV Therapy • Demonstrated Competency in Advanced IV Medication Administration to include: direct IV Administration and Special IV infusions such as Inotropes • Application of Energy to include Defibrillation and Transthoracic Pacing • Experience with mental health/psychiatry, pediatric populations, child birth and public health • Equipment sterilization • Demonstrated advanced assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication • Great attention to detail, organization and time management • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Excellent keyboarding and data entry • Honest and ethical with high levels of integrity and confidentiality • Professional demeanor, focused, self-sufficient and well organized • Proficient verbal and written skills in English and Spanish • Professional, courteous, friendly and positive. • Team player, independent worker, commitment to learn
