SPRING, Texas -
After receiving complaints from local business owners, investigators conducted an undercover prostitution bust at a Spring business.
When undercover officers with Harris County Precinct 4 and Harris County Precinct 1 entered Spring Reflexology on Spring Stuebner Road, they said they were offered massages and sex acts for a fee.
In addition, investigators said the business was also offering massage services without a license; therefore, the business was deemed to be a massage parlor, which is prohibited in Harris County.
Under the Harris County Sexually-Oriented Business Ordinance, the business and the defendants failed to obtain a Sexually-Oriented Business permit, investigators said.
Two women, 37-year-old Rapeepun Trihemasava and 49-year-old Yanqing Ding, were arrested and charged with three violations: prostitution, violation of the Harris County Sexually-Oriented Business Regulations, and violation of the Texas Occupations Code.
โOne of many goals in these investigations is to separate legitimate massage businesses from the ones conducting illegal activity and hold those persons accountable,โ said Constable Mark Herman, with Precinct 4.
โOftentimes these businesses conducting unlawful activities open up in strip shopping centers beside restaurants and other legitimate businesses where families frequent. We will continue these efforts and to the best of our ability attempt to root out these illegal establishments in our communities.โ
