KATY, Texas - Three people were arrested at a massage parlor in west Houston, according to authorities.
The owner, Alice Hong Gao, and two women were taken into custody at the Era Thai Massage parlor at 7951 Katy Freeway on Thursday night.
Officials said vice officers have been to the location several times in the past.
Nearby business owner Nikki Dall said she's known the location was a hot spot for prostitution.
"Oh, I'm not surprised at all ... everybody here has suspected or known what's going on there for some time. We have seen the massage therapists get out of their car in skirts that barely cover anything at all hours of the morning. A lot of times men will park down here and just kind of mosey on down nonchalantly and go in and come out and often look around to make sure. It looks like that they're looking around to make sure no one sees them," Dall said.
This time, they said they raided the business after learning that a woman was being held against her will and was being forced into sex trafficking.
It is not clear what charges the people who were taken into custody will be facing.
