A health card means what?

Chicas are afraid of family and friends learning about their profession. So when asked for ID they often lie by saying they don't have a health card, they lost their ID, etc. It's hard to separate the lies from the truth as many chicas frequently lose their credencial and some have health cards while others don't.

Sampson is correct. To legally obtain a health card a chica needs to be 18. And sometimes chicas obtain health cards not very often by using fake ID but by using ID belonging to another chica such as a sister or cousin.

To work a chica must have two ID's...one the electoral card and the other a health card. The health card cannot be issued to anyone under 18. Now she could get one with another chica's ID possibly...like a sister or a cousin. I think the health card folks try hard to keep this from happening. If there was a health card check and she only had her health card she would be in violation and then they generally have to pay a fine.

When I finished my session with Azul I was chatting with her. One thing led to another and we started talking about the health card. I wanted to verify that she was 22 years old. She looked of legal age but I got curious. I really wanted to know.

She told me that she didn't have a credencial/Identificacion/ID. All she had was the health card but she said it didn't have her birth date. Did she lie to me? In the states you can get a health card and don't need to be of legal age and with the health card you can get condoms, contraceptive pills and what have you.

So what does the health card mean? Legal age? I don't think this applies to Azul but what about other young chicas? Sometimes I'm like are you sure you are not lying to me about being older than 18? I guess I want to know they are over 18 because I'm sure they won't show me their ID. They probably don't want me to know their real name and address. Just wondering.
