A newbie to this forum (and numbess in fingers)

hi everyone

just stumbled across this forum, looks like a great place to be if your into bodywork so decided to join

well i actually found the forum by looking up something for one of my patients

She is experiencing numbness in her right hand--it started with her thumb and now ALL her fingers are numb

I tried working her SCALENES first but no lost in numbness

then i worked on her SUBSCAP with a little of relief but numbness is still present

Also tried PEC MINOR/MAJOR aswell with nothing to say would it be im expecting results too; soon? from everything i know, the SCALENES sound like the culprit here

Any ideas from you guys (girls, sorry)

DT, she probably needs to see her doctor.  I had a similar problem that turned out to be a pinched nerve in the C4 & C5 area.  Since your work in the obvious areas hasn't produced any relief it might be good to pursue other causes.

yes i imaging it is a pinched nerve

i also noticed her right AC Joint (same side as numbness) is about an inch forward of her ear hole (forward rigt shoulder) and her left AC lines up with her ear hole.

i really hate reffering my patients to doctors especially when a pinched nerve is often cause by muscle tightness/entrapment
