Monkeypaw, I will have to check out Marabu more closely. I have been in there for one or two drinks, many times, but have never taken a girl there. Don't know exactly why.

You're right about tipping the towel lady. I tip her up front if I see her, if not I give her tip to the girl. Before the act.

Where to stay...as many of us go down to NL for just one night, then go to hotel at 5 AM and get kicked out at 11...consider spending the night with a girl. Not just any girl, but you know when you get a decent one who isn't messed up in the head. If the visit to the room goes well, offer to pay her the difference and just stay with her.

She will like it because she won't have to go back to the bar, and maybe sit for nothing. It will give her prestige with the other girls. She will be grateful for the company if you are a nice guy. Crowne Plaza Hotel is around $90/night plus taxes and is probably the safest hotel in the city. Security is tight, staff is well trained, and taxi to BT is $7. It is a very comfortable place to come and crash after screwing all night and morning in BT.

Hello to all mongerers..

A bit of warning to all that are headed to BT in the next few weeks/months.. I can't stress the fact enough that the political climate in NL is unstable at best and getting worse by the day. I work for the US gov't in an intelligence organization and since I am a graduate of BT Univ - I have always kept an eye out for things that go on there. Well, I do not have to look hard anymore.. The border area of Laredo has made to the big leagues by the mere activity that is ongoing in that particular region. Please be careful - the drug cartels are running rampant...

In response to hotels... I prefer to stay in NL than in Texas... It's cheaper and closer to Boystown. City Express is pretty nice for about 56 dollars and the Hilton is about 65 both are are a couple of miles from BT. You can rent a little room in Boystown itself for about 25, but they are not nice and that's if you don't mind having cockroaches as roommates. If you want to go that route, the rooms are on the first (pretty dark) street in Boystown. There are a few bars on that street and the rooms are in the back. I did that once and brought a girl to stay with me. The A/C didn't work to well, so I ended up leaving. There is a motel close to Boystown, but I've never been there. In the end... the old saying holds true "You get what you pay for!" So it's all up to your standards.

Don't waste your time during the day, it's too hot and even prostitues need sleep too (this is when they do it). A good time to get there is about 10-11 pm...

And I wouldn't eat a heavy meal before also... If you want to take a dump, you'll find out quickly that the bathrooms there are well... lacking toilet paper and cleanliness... Also, too many fluids in your body such as water, gatorade, beer etc. plus walking around all night will make you wanna crap too. This comes from my medical school knowledge (fluid+motility= increased bowel movements)...

As far as action outside, in and around the dowtown bars... I heard is pretty good... It's like going to a regular bar in the States, but these girls will go home with you... The experience is more like a date plus sex, so it is usually GFE... This is something I will try on my next trip. You can read about that thread on The August 26 Trip...

Be careful in getting involved with the "tour guides" that hang out in the area, as you cross into NL from bridge #1. These are the guys that come up to you and ask you if you're looking for girls, prescriptions, drugs, etc. Many of them are involved with street gangs, the so-called mexican mafia, and can start making demands from you, you won't be expecting. (Like give them $30, for nothing.) They will have many of their gang friends to back them up. I ran into problems related to this, a couple of months ago, and am now having to avoid this area, as they are looking for me. I didn't comply with their demands, (give them $30 for nothing), so they feel they owe me, so to speak.

I'm fairly new to the hobby and would like to make a trip down to BT in the near future, and I got a few questions that I'm quite curious about. (I've been to NL before, but it was back in college on a G-rated tourist thing)

1: I'd like to get hotel at NL, should I stick with ones in down town NL or should I find one closer to BT?
2: How's the action during the day?
3: How's the action outside of BT?

I thought it would be a cool idea for those who frequent Boystown to give the heads up to others who are new to the scene or those who are planning an upcoming trip. Please feel free to put your two cents or two pesos in. That way, we can always be on the ball since not many people post updated reports anymore....

Now I'm usually an advocate of safety in Nuevo Laredo. I think it's relatively safe even though there is an active travel warning in place. I would not recommend going alone especially after dark. If you feel brave enough, then at least seem like you know where you are going and get there...if there's enough action to satisfy your appetite and the price is right... just stay in the same place.

I recommend Maribu in Boystown. It's quiet, not many girls (10-15), but they don't hassle you either. Price is anywhere from 50-75 USD, plus the room. Don't forget to tip the little old towel lady who brings you to the room, at least a couple of bucks. It's amazing how that buys you much more time and delays the "knock" on the door.

Another member mentioned 123 Casino charges $10 for a lady's drink. I know Pullman's does the same too. You go in, sit down, and a half naked girl come sits on your lap. She bumps and grinds for about a minute and asks for a drink. Sometimes the drink is legit (real alcohol), sometimes not, just tomato juice and mineral water because the girls don't like to get drunk. You of course have to pay for it (10 bucks), while your drinks costs $2. The girls get a token usually worth 50 cents or a dollar (if it's a 10 dollar drink). Considering
10 bucks is halfway to getting you laid with a door girl, I would just avoid both Pullman's and 123 Casino. Pappa G's and Maribu's prices for drinks are the same for both the girls and customers, 2 bucks.

Normally I would just tell you to be careful. But...the U.S. Consulate has decided to pull out of Nuevo Laredo. So please be extra extra careful because basically now there is no more U.S. government presence. So if you get in a bind, you are pretty much on your own. Once again, do not go by yourself...You will be fresh meat to the street gangs and the police that have been reinstated. I'm sure there a still a few corrupt ones out there. The old cops wore street clothes, the new ones have black and white uniforms. So now we can tell the difference.
