My husband Captains an amateur cricket team in the summer, and plays rugby through the winter. I've noticed they get a lot of pulls, strains and sprains etc. I'd like to become qualified in sports massage so I can help him and advise his friends where appropriate. I have a Bachelors Science already but work full time now so can't go back and study for this too. I can find several distance learning courses but can't tell which ones are accredited by the 'right' people. Has anyone actually done one that resulted in them being qualified to the right level? I'm only talking minor injuries and treatment, the rest is the physio's job! I just don't want to end up doing more harm than good by learning from a dodgy source.
In reply to first answer, I am in the UK, rather than the states - I don't know if the legislation is very different. Thanks for your answer!
