Bars Closing Now 3 AM !

Yes. Tijuana bars are still supposed to close at 3am. Most are.

I have, however, heard that La Capirucha is staying open past the curfew. Perhpas others will follow their lead.

Closing at 3 am means just that ! Doors closed, bars closed ! You can scout outside only

they did the same thing while doing the lesbo show on friday too, hong kong also closed at 3am sharp...i hope this restriction will b taken away soon...

I just heard from another post that the mayor/town of TJ passed a ruling to close bars at 3 am, starting last Monday. This is to purportedly reduce crime rate and such ! It seems its true. Do you guys have any info.
1. What is the impact on the customers


was there sat. it is true all bars was closed at 3:00 a.m. the bars on revolucion was closed also the hoes was still working past 3:00 a.m. to me it look like the same amount of customers out walking around some good news at the hong kong club they have four girls doing the lesbo show two on the first floor and the on the second floor and the girls switch seforum.xxxes half way through the show

They've done it before and after a few weeks it was back to normal.

Some bargains are to be expected in "todo la noche" deals.

I sure hope this is not a part of the evil plan to clean up the image of Tijuana and convert ZN into some kind of Zona Rio.

I don't see this changing much. Although bars when opened later sometimes have clients, the drinking compsumption is way down. For the chicas that worked 10pm to 6am, they will now work from 7pm to 3am. They will be trading 3 busy hours for 3 dead hours. A couple of bars are busy in that time frame, but I don't think it will make a significant difference. The street girls will probably benefit from the change a little.

The City of Tijuana announced that all bars in Tijuana will close at 3 .a.m. for an indefinite period of time while a study is conducted to see if reducing late night consumption of alcohol has as a positive impact by, for example, reducing crime. This regulation took effect 25 October 2006. Any bar staying open after the new closing time will be closed for two weeks as punishment.

TIJUANA, Baja California(PH)

El Ayuntamiento de Tijuana suspenderل las horas extras a todos los bares de la ciudad por tiempo indefinido, debido a que la ola de inseguridad en la ciudad requiere medidas extremas, anunciَ el alcalde Jorge Hank Rhon.

Indicَ que la medida iniciَ ayer y que permanecerل mientras se realiza un estudio para conocer el impacto que genera el consumo de alcohol durante las horas extras.

Ante representantes de las asociaciones de Empresarios Turيsticos y de Bares de Tijuana (Abacat), expuso que el acuerdo emergente consta de cinco puntos.

El secretario del Ayuntamiento, Andrés Garza, informَ que el primer punto es que los propietarios no comprarلn el concepto de horas extras por un plazo indefinido.

Agregَ que la medida serل evaluada para verificar si el consumo de alcohol en las horas extras estل directamente relacionado con la inseguridad pْblica.

El acuerdo aplicarل de manera general para todos los giros de estas caracterيsticas y serل para toda la semana, no habrل exenciones, aٌadiَ.

En el supuesto que algْn establecimiento no respete el presente acuerdo se impondrل una sanciَn, advirtiَ, que consistirل hasta la clausura por dos semanas.

El funcionario informَ que la ciudadanيa puede denunciar al teléfono 973 7067.

El director general de Gobierno, Carlos Barboza Castillo, dijo que el promedio mensual de ingreso por el concepto de horas extras es de 3.5 millones de pesos.

Los horarios de cierre son a las 2:00 y 3:00 horas.

I have no idea if it's true. But it would make sense if they want to reduce crime in TJ.
