Port Neches — The Port Neches Police Department arrested the owner of a massage parlor on a prostitution charge and shut down the business on Port Neches Avenue, according to information Police Chief Cheri Griffith provided to KFDM/Fox 4 News.
Officers arrested Furong Wen, 54, from Lake Jackson, according to Chief Griffith. She was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
Business owners in the building where the massage parlor was located in the 2400 block of Port Neches Avenue tell KFDM the business is padlocked and it's now shut down.
They praise PNPD for the investigation and say Port Neches is a family-friendly community and they're glad the business is closed.
Police credit tips from the public with helping them shut down the massage parlor.
The lead investigator tells kfdm it's not a victimless crime. In his ten years working for PNPD, he says it's the first prostitution case at a massage business in the city.
