Can reflexology help my Dad's recovery after a heart attack?

My Dad is currently in critical condition in intensive care in a Miami hospital after he suffered a major heart attack a few days ago. There is some sign of improvement but there is still a lot of uncertainty and a long way to go.

We have heard that foot reflexology can help aid his recovery and have started to massage his foot in the key areas for heart, lungs and kidney.

What I am certain of is that there must be some people out there in this big world that have been in the same situation and perhaps successfully used reflexology techniques to aid a stronger recovery and maybe, save the life in the end.

I am not clued up on these kind of techniques but I am trying to think of every possible way, to do absolutely everything to save my father.

If you have any tips, advice, information or authoritative information sources you can point me to, please do.

I would be extremely grateful, I am sitting here in his hospital room and desperate to do something.
