Case Study Reaction

Hi Everyone,

I am currently studying reflexology and am in the middle of my case studies (which I am really enjoying). As one of my case studies I am using my sister, who has epilepsy (although this is controlled and she has been fit free for the last 4 years). During the treatments she reports feeling 'cold tingles' shooting up her legs and moving up to her head and then falls into a really deep sleep. Please can someone tell me if this is a normal reaction or should I be concerned?

I'm at the same stage of you, so I'm in no way an expert - but I would say it was a good sign.

I would interprept it as you now opening up the energy chanels within your sister and it now flowing properly.

So from me - well done!

I have not treated any epileptics but just think the "cold tingles" might be cramp. Where was your sister whilst you were doing the treatment? if she was on a bed maybe she needs a bolster or pillow under her knees.

If she felt no bad after effects and woke refreshed from her sleep I would think it's a good sign and the treatment did her good.

I would put these tingles down as being very good. I have a couple of clients who too experience these tingly feelings and I always think that it is a sign of good nerve stimulation. My clients now even complain if they don't get enough of this tingly reaction!

I've had clients who get tingly legs during treatments too.

I take this as a good sign.

Folks react in many different ways to treatments but I think that tingly or 'creepy' feeling legs is quite a common reaction.

I think the tingling may also be an energy thing. It sounds as though she is benefiting from the treatments, so well done you!

I've treated an epileptic, who was stable on meds, with Reflex and IHM to good effect. But you do need to go very easy on the head/brain/cervical reflex, especially as she fell deeply asleep after. All the others as normal. I'm sure it is very beneficial for her.
