Chill out, ambient clubs/lounge bars

Heys. As mentioned in another thread Im finally getting to Phuket in 5 weeks or so (Yay me!) I was wondering if anyone could give me some names/locations of Chill Out/Ambient music/etc clubs/lounge bars? LIL mentioned one in Karon I think it was and one at Nai Harn...was just hoping for any more?

Also, as Ive mentioned before on the forum im in a chair, and thusly, heading out on the piss is impossible for me single handed.........Im going with my folks but I really dont want my dad hanging out with me when I go out if I can help it (at least not all the time, I know some guys on the forum have had a good time out with their dads in Patong, but, my dads "scene" isnt quite my scene if you get my drift....although I know he would help me out, I wouldnt feel comfortable with him at MTB say)....So.....How would you tackle things? I was thinking of going out at first with them in smaller night spots and striking up conversation/friendship with a girl or two and then BFing them so that I have someone else to hang out with....Does this seem reasonable? Honestly, Im not looking for sex but someone to hang out with that I can go on the piss with and they will push me about while im in a drink induced coma (as often happens)....

Seems very reasonable, I have seen guys in chairs being pushed by BG's on a few occasions and all seemed fine.. I would assume you will want to be talking to the friendlier more caring type of girl than a uppity 'stunner' etc..

One time I remember distinctly seeing this guy in a chair being pushed by 2 BG's both in thier 'night gear' platform / high heels included, shoes in the middle of the afternoon up by the post office area.. All 3 of them were laughing thier heads off and I thought what a great sight.. Wouldn't be seeing that back home..

I was sitting somewhere in Bangla near the street a few months ago and saw a guy in a chair being pushed by 2 BG's. The funny thing was he was covered in shaving foam and it looked like half his head had been shaved. It took less than 5 secs for them to go out of sight and I sat there for a few secs thinking how odd!!

One of those strange moments that you are not even sure were real the next morning!

Saw quite a few guys in chairs this trip.

Try K2's new bar Angel's....that soi is quite spacious and easily accessable by wheelchair.....not sure about the toliet though....plus l'm not sure what that Soi is called (not much help here).....oh, plus u need to be liberally minded enough to be "near" LB's as the famous LB's bar C&D's is close by, but they won't bother u if u r in Angels having a drink and a chat with the girls.

Other Soi's tend to be squeezy....but l would suggest not impossible.

Didn't see you on the calander when are you going to be there. Check out the calander and see who will be there when you are and contact them. I would think most would meet you for a few drinks and hang out, I know I would.

Just curious for the guys that have been around Patong, what clubs would be the most accesable clubs for a chair.

I have seen quite a few people in different types of chairs around Bangla Road, and all of them seem to be having a good time! Soi Lion is level with the sidewalk and seems to have a good variety of girls who would be prepared to help someone out.( Be they Pissed (read Drunk) or need some other assistance).:cheergal:

Thanks guys, I`ll be there between 21st Feb and 20th April (im booked in first couple of nights in Bangkok).....good to hear there are other guys out there in a chair.


Looking at the new years vid Nicke made I noticed the number of people in Soi Eric could make things "squeezy", however it seemed a lot like the night clubs Ive been too when their crowded...can be a bit slow going doing my Moses impression and parting the sea of people but can be done normally...I just find myself a nice spot to go too with friends so I dont have to move around too much and block peoples way. And yeh toilets can be a pain sometimes even if a club is accesible...majority of the time I head out around the side of the club find a secluded spot and go against a wall!

I havent booked my place in Phuket yet but the place I was leaning too is in Karon, my folks wanted a place with its own small kitchen and this place seemed to fit in nicely price wise between a proper long term cheaper rental and high priced short term stay holiday villas http://www.pacific-club-phuket.com/room.htm, I was a bit concerned about transport (although we do plan on renting a car, and my old man is normally pretty good at picking me up at all hours)..plus not like I will be out every night probably only 2-3 times a week.

I have a daughter in a wheelchair, so i can sympathise a bit with the trouble you might have,
