UNM-Taos Massage Therapy Program recently became a National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) Assigned School along with program coordinator Susan Myers.
By obtaining and actively maintaining the NCBTMB Assigned School Code, the Massage Therapy Program and Myers have demonstrated a commitment to elevating the standards of this esteemed profession.
UNM-Taos Massage Therapy Program celebrates national certification.
A notification letter from the NCBTMB reads, โBy choosing to become an NCBTMB Assigned School, you are showing your students the importance of lifelong learning. Your students have the opportunity to advance their careers beyond entry-level with Board Certification, the highest voluntary credential available in the massage therapy and bodywork profession. Our goal is, was, and always will be to continue elevating the standards of the massage therapy profession through certification and education.โ
The program also recently graduated five candidates this past July. Each accomplished the task by passing national exams as part of the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).
