I am newly single for the first time in a loooooong time. I have no idea what I am doing now. Which apps should I be using? How do I meet people these days? Anyone got any advice?

I always thought Tinder was a hook up ap. I have been to 2 weddings from tinder this summer alone. 1 was a young couple (27ish) and the other was almost 40 (he was 39, I think she was a few years younger 34ish).

But in all seriousness, you are right in that most people consider a hook up ap, but there are those who use it as one of many platforms to find a potential partner.

You can try Tinder and If you’re lucky… you may meet ladies wanting one night or FWB type relationship. Not a dating expert… approaching ladies at local grocery shop works as well.

My GF and I use Tinder to meet men and couples and it's been evolving into a dating app. Sure, lots of hook up seekers on it, but people looking for relationships have been drawn to it in droves.

My dating advice is DON’T. Spas & escorts give guaranteed sex with an attractive woman, and its cheaper in the long run. Even the short run!

I try to stick to a budget of $300 a month, which I sometimes don't even use for some months, and that's already a lot of money to me LOL. Is dating just as expensive these days? Kinda hard to believe that going to spas or escorts in the short term or long term is financially a better decision/cheaper.

They are definitely game, but I just think finding someone is better for the short/long term unless you're the kind of person who has much more to lose going that traditional route. Modern dating sucks and I can see why some people go down this route (I sure did for awhile), but doing this short/long term might also not be better bang for your buck imo. That's just me though, if it works for others, more power to them.

I guess I might be more interested in the quality of the orgasm than the quantity lol. I'm honestly on my way out of the FS game because I started losing interest after losing my ATF awhile ago who I really felt a great connection to: her GFE was so good it left my brain craving a connection just like it in a relationship. I would also be lying if I didn't say $ spent wasn't also something I started getting concerned about: I think I'm down $5265 FS + Massage since August 2023.

Throw in the fact that I have personal issues with CAF, I don't want to support that platform at all, which extends to my current disinterest in seeing any of the advertisers on there as well.

Most bang for buck orgasm wise would be to DIY like I did all those years death gripping since its free lol. Dinner and a movie, you are paying everything? Easily close to $200 unless you’re going to McDs. And if you cheap out, zero chance you get laid. You gotta repeat dinner and dance/movie/zoo etc before you get a chance.

Depends on what you want. You can't force yourself to fall in love, and if you're relatively young you're probably like User 2000-Happy lol. You're more into getting those quick bursts of satisfaction and can see a phelora of different ladies as you get more disposable income as you age. I remember early 20s when finding out about the hobby it was amazing since it was pretty much on-demand and justinflation hadn't taken root yet haha. As you get a bit older, you start seeing the same person rotationally and you can have some great sessions with some working ladies. But regardless, it's all a transaction with these relationships. You give up long term love for short term fun; finding 'love' mid 30s is harder than 20s, you may get lucky but you can't force it. Hell you could move to Viet/Thai/China and have all the on-demand love you want lol.

To the basis of your question though, Hinge, Bumble are really big right now. Tinder has kind of transitioned to a more relationship type thing, you'll find hook-ups there if you really search for it. Of course make sure you got those HPV shots (I think over 30s can get em now still?), and play safe as the rates are up there! Go on dates, and enjoy the massages until you're official.

Everyone needs someone in their life. Being alone is nice, but it gets very old and well, alone, after a while. Hence why people call this trade 'companionship'

Ehhh that sounds a bit inflated based on my own movie and dining experience. Meal for two $60-$80 at like a chain resturant and movie is like $40-$60? Not to say that in itself isn't cheap when you start seeing multiple people or see the same person multiple times.

My friend just got out of a long term relationship and managed to score a makeout session in the first day and getting laid on the 3rd date, though that might be more of an outlier haha.

I guess if you want to guarantee your Return on Investment for the metric of 'getting laid', it is cheaper to guarantee that result by seeing a professional. But if you're able to lock in a good person, much more better ROI for the sex and other benefits as well.
