This bill would repeal income tax, but add a 30% tax rate on top of what we already pay for goods. Another bill that benefits the rich. The Republicans never disappoint, do they? This is the type of unfair legislation that you are looking at if you vote Republican in November.
Working and middle class Americans do not have a 30% tax rate right now, especially with medical and education deductions. We've already managed to turn this country into a plutocracy by giving corporations too much control. This would just drive the individual and family further into the dirt.
If you are planning on voting Republican, redo your budget based on these specs, and tell me if you make more or less money. This bill actually decreased the amount I make by 5%.

Before answering, please open up Excel and do some math. There is a bare minimum that most of us working people have to buy, and that 30% makes up a much larger portion of our income. Rich people may consume more, but that 30% added on (which is much like the VAT) is a much lower percentage of their overall income; thus, poorer people end up paying more on a percentage basis.
While my taxes were lower last year, I still owed a great deal of money. I don't know why Republicans always claim that liberals don't pay taxes.
Why do some Republicans compare Obama's policies to Europe and call them "socialist" policies, but still use it as a selling point for their own policies?
The Fair Tax = 30% tax rate
HAS ANYONE HERE ACTUALLY DONE THE MATH OR AM I THE ONLY ONE!?
