Discount days at MPs ?

I may be wrong in this thinking but why isn't there like a discount day of the week in this industry?
Some may say that the business is booming so much that there really isn't a need for it but take a look at the cinema industry.
I mean they make alot of money but they still have room for a charitable cheap night at the movies.
I dunno, this is just a thought/idea that I think would be great to be seen in this industry.
A $20 off day would be pretty cool if you asked me.
Any thoughts?

In term of the business..... Why they have to have a discount day? Do you know how much they make each day?
and Why they want to make less money on that day?

It is all a question of "Revenue (yield) Management"

Giving Discounts would help your overall Revenue.

On a day where your Massage Room Occupancy is low, lowering the price will increase your volume and ensure your occupancy rises.

For Example :

Price per Massage Room is $40 (we don't care about extras here)
You are an MP with 10 rooms.
On a Monday, you usually sell 3 rooms @ $40 = $120 revenue.
With a $10 discount you could attract more customers and go:
6 rooms Sold @ $30 = $180 revenue...plus, the fact that you have more customers will increase your "word to mouth" advertizing and boost your mondays.

I SAY, ALL IN ALL, THIS CAN BE A TERRIFIC IDEA....

This will only happen at the MP's that are hurting for business. Places like IT and HFH are book solid, as is. No point for them to lose money for know reason.

I for one would probably visit a few more mp's per month if there were discounts. As it stands now I tend to make mp's lower on my priority list in terms of entertainment because of the higher cost of some places. It's a case of "out of sight, out of mind" I guess. I'll go a couple of weeks sometimes without going because I've gotten out of the habit of going based on higher cost. At the end of the day I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing.

There could also be a backfire to that plan as well. Clients that may have visited on a regular day, may wait for those discount days to kick in. Most businesses try not to encourage their customers to wait for cheaper prices.

I know guys who sell sporting event tickets...and their thing is that they'd rather eat the cost of a box full of tickets, than train their customers to wait until the last minute to by at a discounted rate.

From day one I have always got a 'discount' at the place I go as a regular simply by asking. Now that I am a regular there (2 times a month) they automatically give me 'my' rate. If it's a new girl I have not seen before when she tells me the price... I look in my pocket and take my money out and say "well I only have xx$$" ($10. or $15. less then they ask) When she sees the money going back in my pocket instead of her hand they always say "OK.... come come room #2."

About 1/6 of the total cost of the PC I just bought went on the casing etc. I could have got just a regular case and it would have performed exactly the same.

It's gonna fly, and more than satisfy my needs. It's also gonna look frickin' awesome ! ... that is, if you like shiny silver computers with blue lights !?!?!

At one point I thought of just buying the case and throwing in the old parts from my current computer, which would be a pain in the ass coz this thing is garbage, but hey, it would look good and I wouldn't be in so much debt...
