Distributors Discount to LMTs?

Hi All!

I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any facility that gave discounts to massage therapists for tools, equipment, etc?

Locally, we have 2 salon distributors that honor massage therapy licenses and gives the same discount as you would get if you were a hairdresser.
I don't know of any massage or physical therapy distributor that offers this.

Anyone know of any?

For massage stuff - Banner Therapy is one
and OPTP ...
I don't believe that either one sells to the general public - but I could be wrong.

For product I have another license that allows me to purchase skincare products, equipment and treatment supplies. Technically a MT should not be allowed to purchase those at wholesale.

But I think body products would be fine...
Spa Blends is one company that would allow you to open an account, as many other personal care manufacturers would be - if you were the business owner.

thank you! I never even heard of OPTP.

I'm not sure why massage therapists are allowed to buy from the salon distributors for hair, make up, and other products. I guess just because many salons must have massage therapists employed there?

There are not many.

Unlike the beauty supply stores, few members of the general public would purchase massage related supplies for personal use, so there is no real need for MT-only outlets vs traditional retail.

OPTP is a company that has treatment equipment such as stretch out straps, bands, rollers, ice packs etc...

And for treatment and body products - there are MANY companies that would sell to business owners in the spa industry at wholesale - what about Universal Companies? (to name another one)
