When you think about snakes, the first thing that comes to your mind would certainly not be relaxation. Right? However, a spa in Cairo, Egypt, has decided to mix the reptiles and comfort by introducing a snake massage. Yep, you read that correctly.

CAIRO SPA OFFERS SNAKE MASSAGE


A spa in Cairo is offering a live snake massage for its visitors, and it is not for the faint-hearted. The people visiting the place can choose from several types of massages by non-venomous snakes. The spa owner also claims that snake massages are proven to reduce muscle and joint pain while also improving blood circulation and releasing endorphins.

In the massage, live snakes slither on the customer's back and face to give them relief from pain. According to Reuters, the spa is hoping to change the perception around snakes by introducing this massage.

The news agency also shared a video of the massage place in which a customer can be seen taking the snake massage. Reuters shared the video with the caption, "This massage at a Cairo spa is not for the faint-hearted (sic)."

According to Reuters, for the 30-minute massage session, first oil is slathered on the clients back and then, the spa place uses a combination of pythons or different types of non-venomous snakes to provide a relaxing time.

In the video, a customer also gave his review for the massage. He said, "After the snakes were placed on my back, I felt a sense of relief and rejuvenation. I was nervous at first. Scared of snakes being on my body. But the fear, anxiety and tension were reduced, and the session gave a sense of relaxation when the snakes went over my back and having them there boosted my self-confidence (sic)."

After being shared, the video instantly went viral. Netizens were left terrified after watching the clip.
