A few of the girls in my various massage courses have mentioned suffering from mild Hay Fever oe very mild Asthma for the first time, either last year or this year.
I made the connection with using COLD PRESSED carrier oils, especially in facial massage, as I assumed they contain many more pollen triggers.
However, I looked into the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology online database and generally in a few textbooks, but although there is plenty to suggest NOT using cold pressed nut oils with nut allergies - there was no mention of this in connection to ASTHMA and HAY FEVER.
In the meantime, I have been using expeller pressed apricot kernel oil (especially after reading a lot about peach kernel being highly allergenic).
Any thoughts on the issue?
