A couple of days ago, I took a stroll through 9005 Leslie, starting my way from the north end and working my way south.
Today, I did the same thing, but I started out in that new spa that "replaced" Xanadu. Checked it out - girl that greeted didn't get my attention so I didn't stick around.
Checked out OMG Spa (again), and the same woman that answered the door on Monday greeted me today - She recognized me and gave me attitude for coming in wasting her time again, so I left - I think that covers OMG in general. I don't know if they have different girls every day, but I'm not going back again.
Went next door to Hello Spa, where the same woman from Monday greeted me. The pushy sales one. I figured I'd try her out since she claimed to provide superior service. That was a mistake.
Apologies to all - I didn't catch the name of the lady who worked. Short, petite Chinese lady. Terrible English, not ugly, just older, but with a fairly tight body.
Anyways, the massage was actually pretty good - upper body neck and shoulder massage as good. Flipped and asked for the BS + CBJ ($100) service. Technique was moderate, but then she "got tired" and switched to the oil + HJ. Still didn't finish at time limit, and smack on the dot at 30 mins, she stops and basically says (in Chinese), "Time's up". I asked how much to add time, and she gave me an okay quote, $180 total ($60 for 45 mins, 120 for an additional 15 mins of CBJ). I figured 'okay', but then she said to me in Chinese "Pay me now".
Total mood killer. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels like the mood totally evaporates when they make you pay halfway through.
Apparently she's "new", and was told by her boss that they are *required* to get full cash amount before they start. Which isn't what happened.
I ended up paying the initial $100 tip and left. I know some of you will say that I shouldn't have paid, but a service *was* rendered, albeit ineffectively, and I'm not the type to cut and run.
But just a heads up to any of you who might go to Hello spa - just be aware that the girls have instructions to get full payment upfront, or you might run into that pay-in-the-middle scenario that totally ruins everything.
Anyways, I ended up going down Love Spa, picked Cindy, and had the standard massage + HJ session just to finish things off. First time with Cindy; her teasing massage was pretty good, and her HJ is also pretty good; not the jackhammer type so common by other girls. I might repeat and see how she does with other services, but probably not a for a while. It's been an expensive week. I'll probably take a break and recoup my losses first .
I should have listened to my other brain and gone to see Evelyn at Perla this week...
