Student athletes with École secondaire du Sacré-Coeur will benefit from the services of Collège Boréal massage therapy students thanks to an agreement recently signed between the French Catholic school board and the college.
As part of sports clinics offered in the premises of École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur, students will receive an assessment of their overall health as well as personalized strategies to improve their well-being and athletic performance.
They will benefit from continuous monitoring based on their specific needs.
"While allowing Sacré-Cœur athletes to excel and stay healthy, this partnership is linked to the school's Specialist High Skills Major in health and wellness, which prepares students to pursue their studies and training in the various health disciplines," said Lyse-Anne Papineau, director of education at CSC Nouvelon.
"This partnership will also enable many of our students to learn about this field of study and one day become Collège Boréal's massage therapists."
"Our massage therapy students are passionate about their discipline,” said Kim Morris, dean of Collège Boréal’s School of Health Sciences.
“With this partnership, Sacré-Coeur students will have the opportunity to gain insight on the importance of physical activity while taking care of themselves.”
