No, i do not think so. Imperial Spa has been there for a long time. Imperial Spa also has another location at 2810 Victoria Park Ave, suite 102, North York, ON M2J 4A9

Imperial Spa on Sheppard and Imperial Spa on Yonge have the same registered owner. The licence for the one on Yonge is dated last week. The Imperial Spa on Victoria Park has a different registered owner.

The list is part of the City of Toronto's "Open Data" project, which was kicked off around 2009/2010. This specific dataset has been around for a few years & pre-Covid was updated weekly.

I’m clapping at the moment because at last, our tax dollars are being used in a way where there is benefit. We can simply check the list and map of where our closest neighborhood holistic is.

I wonder who green lit the project as who is this benefiting? Hobbyists. Who is the map supposed to help? Possibly concerned citizens who don’t want NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard), but it really helps our community.

Guess our municipal taxes are going to at least one thing that is helpful. But the licensing fees are kinda crazy to recoup those sunken costs.

It's not just spa licences. The OpenData project basically just makes public and accessible a bunch of data that's collected by the municipal government. Much of the information has been available to the public already for decades (e.g. records at the City Hall library). It's just more readily accessible now. Information about the genesis of the project is provided in the link above.
