I was at this resort and the second photo is exactly how it is...nice place though....



The thing is though, that building is part of the same hotel so it's not like they can say: oh, we have no control over who builds what next door. I bet the photo on the left was extremely old and taken before the expansion.

Ah, I remember it well. I met a bunch of guys down there and one was hitting it off with a chick he met. Only problem was she was with another chick and none of his buddy's would play wingman. So I volunteered and I found out why: she was a total BITCH. I played nice all day at the pool with her, then when I finally had enough. I pulled her aside and said listen: what the FUCK is your problem. It's not like I want anything from you but they really like each other so if you'd just relax, you might actually enjoy yourself.

She said "but it was supposed to be just the two of us".

I said "well, shit happens doesn't it? She seems happy, he seems happy, they're both good people so let her fucking BE. Be a good friend and quit harping on her....."

She didn't get any better. But I had a little payback.

When the other two were fooling around in the pool I said let's go to the beach and a dip in the ocean. She said ok. So it was really quite rough and the waves were pretty big. They almost pulled my shorts off. So they knocked her off her feet and when she came up for air, the waves had knocked her boobs loose. They were out there for all to see. I was laughing my fricken ass off so (being the bitch she was) she stormed out of the ocean. I tried to tell her like 5 times hey hey HEY wait....but nope, she stormed all the way to the pool, sat down before realizing her boobs were flapping in the breeze lol...OH man it was funny.

(then of course she said "why the fuck didn't you tell me" I said I tried 5 times you stupid bitch!!!

Then later that night, funny enough she did agree to go to dinner with us, I said to the other two: you guys want a little night to yourself? "what do you mean"? I said: if I get the bed in the guy's room, you two can have mine for the night...." OMG you'd think I'd given them a romantic cruise for two! For the rest of the vacay she was constantly trying to set me up with chicks....it was getting embarassing actually. We'd be hanging out at a bar, she'd see a hottie, off she'd go......I'd look over and she'd be pointing at me blah blah lol......

Great facilities, and 3 resorts in 1 made for more people, but the service sucked! And really, I'm so like the bitchy friend u described. I don't vaca to meet people I'll never see again. Hahaha!

I think I've been pretty lucky. All the places I've gone to have been as-advertised (except for the Sandals Royal Hicacos in Varadero, which had little canals with fetid stinky water).

That reminds me of P.V. Next to the hotel was the open sewer...(aka little canal). Can you guess where it was going? LOL right into the ocean, right next to the swimming area!!!

I also heard stories of that in Acapulco way back in the day.

I have a story about that (don't I always):

I was out on my boat on Lake Ontario one day after a really big thunderstorm. I had some people with me and one little girl around 11. She saw something in the water and said "hey look, a hersey bar". I said "umm that's not a hersey bar, lol" (don't know if they fixed it but after a storm, the sewers would overflow and raw sewage would get dumped directly into the lake). You'd see all sorts of gross stuff floating around after a storm. The best was a picnic table......

Now that you mention it, the Royal Hideaway in Cayo Ensenachos sits at the mouth of a river downstream from some industrial plant. Smelled of sulfur. The ladies didn't mind the mild smell, and loved soaking in the warmer-than-normal water. I snorkeled in the bay. It's a wonder I can still get it up.

Hey I wasn't referring to picking up guys, or girls for that matter.....once again though, you're giving me the impression that you'd be a total B*tch while on vacay......

Another part of that story: The chick who was upselling me ended up befriending this one hottie who was on a trip with her mother (she won it via a radio contest). So we had the chickie, her bitchy friend, the guy's 2 buddies, this other hottie, her mother, and me. We all sort of met up at our hotel, then hopped on the bus to town for dinner.

We found this deserted restaurant overlooking banderas bay, ordered cervezas, tequila, what seemed like 17 courses, desert everything. The sun was setting and it was P E R F E C T I O N. One of the best memories I have while travelling. I asked the waiter for the check as we were getting ready to leave. He handed it to me: $90.00 US. For NINE of us....I paid and left a $20.00 US tip. So I made a little toast. I said to the gang: "This has been one of the best meals I've ever had and considering I didn't know any of you 3 days ago, I now consider you all my friends. Thanks for making this meal special......."

So we all got up to leave and as we were walking down the stairs, the chickie says: oh wait, what about the bill? I said "no worries, I covered it".....

I can't help but think if I had your attitude, I wouldn't have had that experience.....

Lol ya but I don't vacay to be a bitch, nor to make ur vacay any better. I'd just rather relax and not stress anyone else. Also tboy, remember that the perspective of a woman in this industry is unique. Once again, you miss my point. I never once said you had to do or be any of those things. I simply said "be nice to people" and you said "you don't go on vacation to be nice to people".....

Yeah, you're right I think (about the perspective thing)....you equate being nice to someone as having to fuck them.....I had no intentions of fucking any of those people I had dinner with, nothing wrong with enjoying the company of good people......

This is one of the reasons I moved out of the cynical city: people here are nice to each other simply because it is the right way to be, no ulterior motives are expressed or implied.
