How should I approach friends about group sex?

My girlfriend and I are thinking it would be a lot of fun to have group sex with my friend and his girlfriend. I'm pretty sure that his girlfriend would be interested in it, since our girlfriends have talked about group sex before and she seemed open minded about it at the time. I'm not so sure about my friend though. How should we approach him about it? Should we just straight up ask or slowly ease into it?

Since the women are already comfortable discussing the general subject with each other, your gf should talk to his gf. Then if she's into it, let her broach the subject with your friend, if she doesn't already know his opinion.

That way if he's not into it, there has been no actual discussion about it between the men, thereby allowing them to act like the whole thing never happened.

Go on a double date, dinner maybe, and some drinks, then go back to either your place or theirs...

Have the girls talked about getting together for some girl on girl action? If so, then they should set the tone, let them start the process, flirting over dinner etc. then when you get home, they can start making out while you guys watch... let things progress naturally (if they are truly into it, it WILL, trust me! ).

Then when everyone is good an horny, the girls can ask you and your friend to join in.
