If Twitter, Facebook etc. can refuse service to certain Americans based upon their beliefs or behaviours, why can't a bakery, bank or church refuse service to homosexuals?

I am not against sucking another man's penis, as you guys know, but it's still a valid question.

It has been proven time and again that gay people pass disease much more than straight people. A man's butthole wasn't designed by science or our creator to take another man's penis.

Gays do pose a threat to the community. If STDs aren't worth worrying about, why worry about Covid19?

More people die from HIV worldwide than will die from Covid19. And gays are much higher transmitters of the HIV virus.

I think you are confusing two different types of buns if you have concerns with homosexuality and bakeries

Not all churches have jumped on the gay marriage bandwagon. It's possible that the government may in the future force them to perform gay marriages. This issue may be the cause of future religious persecution, because many will refuse to disobey God's law.

I usually run to the front of the line when it's time to criticize Ursus, but in this case he has asked a valid and relevant question. That makes this a special thread. It then became extra special when Hornet came up with a close to correct answer.

With the Democrats now in power, it is likely we are going to see this issue come to the forefront. The more "progressive" Dems have already promised to make it more of an issue. If a school, church or social organization receives any kind of public funding or entitlement (like churches not being taxed), they will be susceptible to anti discrimination action.

My belief is that the bakery should be able to refuse service to gay people if it wants to. I know that's controversial and I'm not wholly comfortable in admitting it. In a fair world, the social cost for refusing to serve gay people would be so high that it would equal ruin. But we know the world ain't fair. This is probably one of those cases where in order to the right thing, it would be necessary to put up with some very distasteful policies at private businesses, but just as today it would be unthinkable to belong to a club that barred black people, I believe that over time we'd see the same thing happen to all forms of immoral discrimination.
