Incident at Tango India

A friend of mine went there a few times a few weeks ago and this is what he described to me. The first night he went there he had a nice time. He returned there a few nights later only to have a problem. Upon his return one of the employees (Tico in his 40's) insisted that he owed$70 from his last visit. He was sure that he paid for every drink as they were brought to his table. When Dave tried to leave the gentlemen stood in front of the entrance in a defensive posture. He finally settled on $30 with this individual. He was scared to call the Police at 3AM. He does not speak good Spanish either. If he did or didn't he should have spoken to a manager.
What happened next is most bizarre. When he returns the next time the same guy tells him that he needs to pay $100 to sit at that table. He leans over to the Americans sitting next to them and asks." What did you pay to sit at your table. They responded, " nothing."
At that point he left. He knew that he was better off spending his money elsewhere before further incident. Has anyone had similar stories or different ones at Tango India?

I've never had a single issue like you've described, nor has anyone else I've ever met. I've lived her for the past 3 years, and I know the owner and most of the people that work at Tango India. Give me the guy's name that your friend had a problem with so I can confirm his story. I usually see or at the very least "hear" about stuff like this when it happens, just because(my GF worked there, and she has 3 sisters).

Tuxedo, I am pretty sure your "friend" was pulling your leg. That kind of stuff could happen in Olympus, but not in Tango India.

Some people just like to be dominated. In fact some of those S&Mers even pay a lot of money to be humiliated and treated badly.

That is the only reason a person would go back to an experience like that even in fact if it were for real.

Maybe the guy also did skip out on his tab and this became his payback.
Either way it just doesn't fit.

One time I went there with 2 colombianas I met at the bar across from the Del Ray, they had a friend working in the kitchen at Tango India. We went in and were shown to a table right by a stage. I waiter said it was "cien dolares", i was drunk, mistook what he said, thought he said "diez dolares," and said ok. the girls got scared looking, I asked what was up and they told me the waiter was going to want $100. We bolted to the back of the club, no one ever bothered us about moving, but they did ask for an outrageous price to sit next to the stage. It may have been because I was a gringo with 2 chicas or just standard procdure to "port the gringo", I don't know.

I did have a good time, took one of the colombianas to the show in the airplane, the dancers loved grinding on both of us.

I had a good time but wouldn't go back, too expensive overall and just a bunch of dancing as far as I know.
