Interesting video on Plantar Fascitis

That was very interesting. I've been fighting with Plantar Fascitis for a couple of years now. I wish I'd known about some of these factors in treating PF before now. I'm scheduled to have surgery for PF tomorrow. Hope it does some good. When I get back on my feet again, I may try some of these techniques on a couple of friends of mine who have PF also. Thanks for posting the video.

Interesting video on Plantar Fascitis

I'm working of of a computer that doesn't have sound currently, however, on my first "watching" of the video (minus the sound), it looks like an interesting technique. I was lucky to have taken a seminar some years ago which used a similar-yet-different type of approach to whole body pain and it did work quite effectively (the whole tapping at strategic points and then whooshing over others with your fingers, sort of thing). I liked what the technique did, but I only actively used it for about two or three months before going back to my general comfort zone of techniques and strategies I use when working on clients. So, was it a lack of my comfort with the technique, or did something else I "do" provide a better fit/healing-uptake? Hard to say. It is always nice to be exposed to new ideas though. One more item for the old "bag of tricks".

I have a basic beef that the website makes me feel as though the inventor of this technique does not have my best interest in mind for teaching me a new method.

I really don't like the concept of being required to the Home Study Course before taking the Basic Class. Or, if they had just presented it as such on the HSC page, I wouldn't have felt as though I am being taken to the cleaners, before even signing up.

When I was looking through the website, I first opened the video and then opened a second screen to check out the website while viewing. HSC was next up on my list of items "to-see". Here's what I read:

While this is essentially upper quarter techniques, it represents a great sample of my work enough for you to get a feel for it. How many other technique seminars you’ve attended or are considering attending have provided this “try before you buy” experience? I don’t know of any.

This lead me to believe that the HSC would be independent of the actual class. No where on that page did it mention it was a requirement to the Basic Class.

From the PRRT Seminars pages:

You must purchase a PRRT™ Home Study Course prior to attending a seminar.

For me, it comes across as someone is being a little sly, and this ultimately makes me leary of the coursework. :undecided:

I actually purchased the HSC and am doing my 30 day trial on it. They have told me that if you take the next level/seminar they credit your HSC fee. Now I only have the issue of getting to a seminar, if possible.... this does seem like interesting work/theory though.

I was really not that impressed with it. The theory seems plausible, but you really can't tell much from the home course and you really don't get step by step instructions/explanation on what is being done, just the person's seminar and him going through a bunch of treatments very quickly on the attendees. You do get some print outs with the philosophy of the technique, but as far as a course goes, I would never have called it that.

I did request a refund and after being contacted back with a hard sell, "Just so you know if you return the home study course you won't be able to attend a seminar in the future.", (yes I was actually told this after telling them that I wanted a refund). I could not believe how much they wanted for the 'Level 1' or whatever they called it class. I believe it was around $600 per seminar. I did get my refund and they weren't really difficult to deal with in my experience. The few questions I had were answered pretty promptly via email.

Plus their website, at the time I ordered it, stated they would not process your credit card for 30 days, since you had 30 days to review the material and ask for a refund if it was not what you thought it would be. However, they charged my card immediately and when I questioned that they replied as an 'oops, we need to fix that!' kind of comment.

When I tried this technique on several nonpaying volunteers, I did not get the results exhalted to in the videos. Stuff like this really should be hands on, in person training, but even saying that, with most other videos, I am able to get enough grasp on a technique to try them out to even see if it is something I want to pay for an in person class on. (Hope that sentence makes sense! :| )
