well it sounds like your not proud enough of her to say she's your girlfriend. Tell you friend you lied and that she's your gf.

Well, that wasn't nice of you to do that. If she is your girlfriend, you say she is your girlfriend even if people will talk. That was really rude of you to do that and it makes her feel like you don't want people to know about your relationship with her. I too would be mad and probably ignore you. Try seeing her face to face and apologize after you tell the boy you LIED and say the TRUTH.
