Katie at Lexa

Having read many positive reviews, I thought that I would give Lexa and Katie a whirl.

Katie is a pleasant woman with a very nice attitude and accomodating service. That's why she gets such positive reviews.

However:

1. The spa itself is bare to the bones, and is a far cry from the SRMs, ITs, HFHs, BPs of the world...that's why they charge less, I suppose. But it is disconcerting to see your attendant cleaning up afterwards by dipping a cloth into a bucket of water...seemed very, very primitive.

2. (and here is where I get crucified by Katie/Lexa fans)...she just isn't that attractive. For guys who like fit, beautiful women, Katie isn't your choice. Rather, she is about 20 lbs too heavy for my liking, not in shape, and fairly plain.

Definitely not a repeat, eventhough she seemed like a nice person.

whats the use to seeing a really hot chick when there going to be cold and restrictive....Katie is alright and gives a really nice session...While Helen at Platnium is hot and tight but is restrictive and would charge $50 for touching her feet....

I agree with blopar I have seen Katie and another girl at Lexa and I wasn't too impressed with the place as a whole. I would much rather go to SRM or IT.

You're the customer, and you're spending the money. Therefore you are entitled to your opinion.

However,

If some attendant's appearance is not to your liking, there is a nice way to mention it. Other (very high) posters have done this in the past, that a certain MPA is not their body type. Fair enough, and no harm done. In my opinion, it's unfortunate that you did not follow their examples in this case.

I find Katie very attractive, and gives an excellent session. I'm not alone.
There are other attendants at Lexa/Star/Gemini (or at other spas) that I don't find attractive, or are not my prefered body type. I try to politely mention that in my post, or, (and here's the important point) I don't go see the girl!

Why would you go see someone if you don't find her attractive????

True, the spa is very plain - we know that, and, it is possibly because of that decor that we visit. ?? (As we well know: Not every spa is as lavish as Blue Pearl)

One of the main reasons, and if I haven't drank too much tonight, Happy mentioned it in his earlier thread: The price is right - and the girls provide an excellent massage.

Lighten up - have a few drinks. I'm sure that the girls don't find all of us to be fit and in top shape! I know I'm not.

You're entitled to your opinion, and I defend your write to speak your mind. I've learned that there are many ways to rate wines/liquors. Calling a certain vintage "rat piss" is not going to get the reviewer any applause from the general public. A more tactful description will still get the message across.

I disagree with you totally on your opinion of Katie. In my opinion, she's anything but plain, and I look forward to seeing her as soon as I've collected up all my empties and cashed them in at the beer store.

I tend to agree with Blopar in all the issues he pointed out.

I don't think he was being rude, if anything he was candid, and for people looking to see if its worth their time or not, I think he saved them alot of time.

Look at it this way for you Katie fans, now you guys would have more time to book her!

All reviews are in essence subjective regardless of wording.

Not only is beauty subjective, but so is a persons perception of a comfortable ambiance.

I don't see other, more "luxurious", spas as being necessarily better - just different. They all have their own appeal.

An interesting debate:

1. When is a post too blunt, when is it rude, when is too politically correct/safe to provide useful information? Obviously, there is no clear cut answer, and most people will have a different sense of each of these standards.

2. I did not want to hurt Katie's feelings (no one has suggested that I have). However, if I did, I am sorry for that.

3. That said, I felt that a more "candid" (to use Kissingdevil's choice of words) appraisal (or perhaps, just my own, different appraisal---maybe it is, indeed, just a matter of "what's in the eye of the beholder" would be helpful for others) would be helpful for others. It certainly wasn't intended to denigrate or insult Katie or her fans.

Being one who has seen Katie multiple times, I read and re-read Blopar's review but could not find anything rude about the post. Although I may disagree with his accessment, I certainly respect his opinion on the type of ladies he enjoys.

I saw Katie once. I thought she was sweet and nice, but just not my type, so I moved on to others. To each his own.
