LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman gave a man a massage in his Las Vegas Strip hotel room, and then allegedly threatened him with a knife and walked away with his $50,000 watch, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department documents said.
The incident occurred on the Las Vegas Strip on Feb. 9, 2023. According to police documents, a person who called herself “Tiffany,” later identified as Jessica Thompson, 24, was invited to a room at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino. She agreed to give the man a massage.
Beforehand, the documents said that the man had removed his gold Rolex watch, worth $50,000, which had unique engraved words, and placed it in a safe. After the massage, Thompson poured herself a drink while the man got into the bathtub.
While in the bath, the man told police he heard the sound of a safe being opened. When he exited the bathroom, he said he saw Thompson holding his watch. She pulled a switchblade and told the man she would kill him if he called police, documents said, before leaving the room.
Law enforcement officials checked video surveillance and saw the man and Thompson leaving the elevators just after 2:45 a.m., with the man wearing his watch. Around 4 a.m., Thompson was seen exiting the casino through the valet area.
A security guard from another Las Vegas resort identified the suspect as Jessica Thompson, and the victim identified Thompson from a photo lineup.
Thompson was arrested on Sunday and faces charges of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon and grand larceny of more than $25,000 but less than $100,000, both felonies. She’s being held at Clark County Justice Court on a separate warrant from Washoe County.
