Police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old massage therapist from Markham with multiple counts of sexual assault.
The investigation began on December 6 after a woman came forward to the police. She reported that she had been sexually assaulted by the accused during two massage sessions at a business on Markham Road in Markham, police say.
During the investigation, police received additional complaints from two victims who reported that they had been sexually assaulted during massage sessions at a business on Hedge Road in Georgina.
The police believe that the accused worked as a massage therapist at multiple locations across the GTA.
The accused was arrested on December 9 by the investigators with the York Regional Police.
Investigators have released the photo of the accused and want to ensure that there are no further victims. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Andrew Prosperi, 42, of Markham, is charged with five counts of sexual assault, police say. He is scheduled to appear in court in Newmarket on January 14, 2020.
