WENATCHEE — The defendant in a Wenatchee prostitution case failed to follow up on his lawsuit against the police who seized his business, allowing the case to be dismissed from civil court.
The Angel Spa massage parlor on North Chelan Avenue in Wenatchee, allegedly operated as a sex work location by its Tacoma-based owners.

Linhui Yan, 62, of Tacoma has been held in the Chelan County jail since March, after his arrest for allegedly furnishing sexual services through a string of central Washington massage parlors, including two in Wenatchee. He and his spouse, Yan Yang, 45, who’s still at large, are both charged with money laundering, organized crime and other criminal counts.
In March 2023, the Columbia River Drug Task Force seized assets from their massage parlors as evidence under a court order, including an estimated $150,000 in multiple bank accounts. The multi-agency task force says the Yans employed women at the businesses, located in the 400 block of North Mission Street and the 300 block of North Chelan Avenue, to offer sexual services to clients.

A third parlor allegedly operated by the Yans in Kennewick was also raided in the same operation. The Yans were not present when police searched their businesses, and were later found to have left the country and traveled to China.
Linhui Yan was arrested in Pierce County last March after returning to the U.S.
Prior to his arrest, Yan and his spouse filed suit to recover the money through their Bellevue-based attorney, arguing he was never served proper legal notice of the case. NCWLIFE has learned that lawsuit was dismissed from Chelan County court in September for lack of activity, because the Yans went more than a year without pursuing the case.
Linhui Yan faces a scheduled trial starting next month in Chelan County Superior Court. He is held on $500,000 bail.
