A Montgomery massage therapist was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of sexual misconduct, announced the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy.
Nicholas Vines, a licensed massage therapist and the former owner of Therapeutic Touches Massage in Montgomery, was taken into custody following an investigation into complaints sent to the board, the panel said.
The board did not detail the allegations but it said the investigation revealed “Vines and his actions were considered to be a danger to public health and safety of the general public.
“Resulting from those actions, an order of the board was drawn up for an emergency suspension of his licensing.”
Vines was taken into custody by Montgomery police, who charged him with two counts of sexual misconduct.
Vines and his business were served with the suspension order April 4, which meant he could not not continue the business until a hearing is held.
He surrendered his licenses temporarily on April 4 pending the board’s final decision.
