MPs around Royal York

[Oh Balls!]

I'm visiting Toronto next month and staying at the Royal York. Can someone tell me what MPs are a 10 min walk or a 10 min taxi ride from this hotel? And some idea of rates as I am from Vancouver. Thanks.

Congratulations,

You're staying at a very nice hotel in the core of the city. Unfortunately, the core of the city is also a bit of a dead-zone as it relates to MP's.

Since you are staying at the Royal York I assume you can afford the ride to Richmond Hill or Woodbridge (both about 45 minutes from where you are).

Try IT (Richmond Hill) or HFH (Woodbridge).

These are the widely referred to as amongst the 2 best spas in Toronto.

If you go for 1 hour bring $260 and your covered ($140 for 30 minutes). Depending on what you are looking for it is either not offered here (so don't ask for too much) or you will leave with change.

Allure (probably way too far though)


Note: these are all "clean" spas so no extra "extras" are available.

Romeo is right about there being lots of spas downtown (per his link) but not many of them have been reviewed so you are probably on your own as it comes to rates and what to expect.

The choices are there but the research isn't, hence the dead-zone reference.

Depending on the cab driver, you flat fee to Woodbridge or Richmond Hill could cost you an additional $50 to $80. While IT and HFH are amongst the finest MP's in Ontario, you might want to look a little closer. Just because the guy might have the money doesn't mean he's got the 90 minutes travelling time (back and forth) to Richmond Hill.

There are a couple of MP's on the Queensway and Bloor St. You're talking $20 cab fare. Here's a listing of a couple

Why not go to Body and Soul.

It's a 20 minute subway ride to Yorkdale Shopping Centre and a 5 minute Cab to B&S.

The place is clean, the prices are better that HFH or IT and you can get some nice women there.

They also have Jacuzzi tubs which are fun.

With the kind of cab fare mentioned above, you might as well rent a car - now you can visit many MPs in a short time.

Maybe you should try Elm and Bay (51 Elm St). And if shower massages or hot tubs interest you (no one has confirmed) then read this Shower massages. You may want to ask them first about the facilities and which girls will do shower massage though. This isn't a great place, but convenient.

I'm posted a bit on the 51 elm post... the Mpa's at 51 elm have really bad attitude, it's all rushed and all about the money. Definitely wouldn't recommend it. And although the shower and hot tubs are there, and always advertised, depending on what management is there this week (cause they always switch) they may not be available.

The best thing I can recommend downtown is 266 Adelaide St. W. It's downtown, good massage, girls are about a 6 but still a very good massage.

Oh and it doesn't cost 50-80 bucks to get from Royal york hotel to Richmond hill. Maybe at rush hour you can pull off 60 if traffic is deadlocked on the DVP.

Chad, you could also try some places on the south end of Church St. Although I do recall a news story about someone being shot/killed at a spa on Church St. last year - not certain if there was a thread on massageplanet.net regarding this.
