A massage therapist has been arrested after police received a report of a sexual assault at health clinic in New Westminster.
A woman told New Westminster police that she was sexually assaulted while receiving a massage last month at the Healthland Clinic at 555 Sixth Street.
A male massage therapist was identified and arrested.
Police say the man, who was not identified, has been released with charges of sexual assault being recommended to Crown counsel.
“Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward,” said NWPD Sgt. Jeff Scott. “It is important to know, if you have been a victim of sexual assault, you will be heard, and we will ensure you are offered resources and ongoing support.”

In January, Surrey RCMP issued a public notice after two sexual assaults were reported to have occurred at Healthland Clinic’s Surrey location at 7128 King George Highway.
In that case, a 48-year-old man, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested and released pending further investigation.
Surrey RCMP the man was believed to have also worked at the New Westminster location.
