NORTH AURORA – A 52-year-old St. Charles woman faces charges of prostitution and practicing massage without a license, stemming from an incident that took place last month at a North Aurora massage parlor, according to a news release issued by the North Aurora Police Department.
Guoyin Fan, 52, of the 0 to 100 block of North Seventh Street, St. Charles, will face one count of each charge, both misdemeanors, the release states. The operation was conducted at Spa 56, which is at 200 Butterfield Road, North Aurora.
According to the release, the incident took place at about 4:45 p.m. Oct. 26, as part of an undercover operation. An officer entered the business and paid for a massage, but a short time after the massage, Fan offered to perform a sex act for the officer, the release states. After the offer was made, the officer left the establishment, and officials from the police department entered the business and arrested Fan, police stated.
According to the release, Fan posted $150 and was released, adding she will have a court date of 9 a.m. Nov. 25 at the Aurora branch court. Police stated that the operation was done after information was received about possible prostitution activities taking place at the business.
