Wondering if anyone has tried River massage on centre st & 3 ave downtown?

Looking for a new spot that is downtown and noticed it the other day.

I saw some reviews here about the same spot under previous management but nothing since it became River. Chat in pm.

I think this is a spot I tried out earlier this year, on the east side of Centre street. But not 100% sure it's the same place as I don't recall the name River. Massage was ok, but therapist was not all that skilled. So was not a repeat for me. Again, am not sure if it was the same place. The room had curtains, but was not a totally isolated room. There was a working shower. No extras were offered, and frankly the therapist was not that all that attractive, so I was happy to not have to say 'no'.

Hi Albertaman!

Yes this is on the E side of centre, just north of 3rd ave. The sign just says “massage” and has the phone number, but online it’s been rebranded as “River wellness and massage” or something similar. Website seems professional as you are able to book online.

I’m mostly looking for decent massage, ideally Undraped or someone who is just not shy about getting close to LG. HE would be ideal, I don’t usually look for anything more anyways. Not the end of world if not provided. Just a Good downtown massage is great!

DT could use more options for sure, given Ambrosia is gone, and Seagull is mostly poor value. At this location, one has to try massages at 95 per massage to find out if there is any good therapist. Unfortunately when I went the therapist was quite unattractive and the massage was not deep enough to make me want to return. Brief bios, with a face pic of available therapists would be a good start.

I agree, $95 is steep. Especially when I know I can get a professional massage elsewhere for $80, that is actually targeted towards healing rather than relaxation. But as they say, location location location.

I’ll try it out and post my results. Any intel on seagull? I might get that thread going again since it hasn’t been active since pre-Covid.

Seems to be legit massage only. I’ve seen 3 rmts there now. The receptionist is very cute and lovely but does not do massage.

One of the rmt was cool with undraped which was the main reason I went there. There was loose draping on the flip though. No extras offered or hinted. any touching close to LG appeared accidental, but I appreciated that they are not shy about getting close and working on sore areas.

I would go again simply for a conveniently located spot downtown and a good relaxation/therapeutic massage.

Venture elsewhere if you are looking for anything more.
