Rock Hard vs. Roxy

I guess it's still a bit early to say what go-go is the best since Roxy just opened, but they need to get their girls sorted if they are planing to make money......

Here is a few of my thoughts......

Roxy:
1. The entrance is to dark and hard to see from Bangla.(problems to see anything at all walking up the stairs)
2. Smelly toilets halfway up the stairs (made the whole stairs smell piss)
3. Looked very nice when we finally entered the 3rd floor.
4. The girls was nothing special, they were old and most of them must have given birth to at least 2 babies. (that said we came a bit late, and the best one might have been taken)
5.A catwalk-kind of dancefloor would have been better and made you feel closer to the girls.
6. Very god prices and no annoying touts in the street.


Rock Hard:
1. Good to have the entrance directly from Bangla.
2. 2 catwalk dancefloors that dont take up to much space.
3. Plenty of girls, and the quality was better than before
4. The girls was a little bit to pushy for my taste
5. Also here very good prices and no lowlife touts


All in all it's easy to see that Rock Hard won my small contest so far, but I guess we need to give Roxy some time to settle before judging them:rules:

Will be interesting to see what you other guys think.........

"Apparently" lady drinks in Roxy are 120 baht which is fairly decent as lady drinks go, especially for an agogo, again just orange juice.

Beers were 120 baht and vodka/Gin etc 130baht.

No idea how much Bar fines are though.....


The girls in Roxy seem pretty decent and up to par...... I will go back. Helps with the Thai manager being a friend and walk up and give us Jagerbombs mmmmmm jagerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

They should lose the pool tables and build another seforum.xxxe and get more girls, the whole place is surrounded by pool halls - stand up, be an A-gogo and proud of it.

Roxy's is sandwiched in between the Chicago Music massageplanete and Seduction Disco. IIRC, you can actually enter it from the CMC too. Not a bad location... since you can see it while walking along Soi Bangla. The ones on Soi Sea Dragon for instance you cannot (hence the annoying touts trolling around).

After that (meaning getting the punters in), it will mostly be about word of mouth as to how popular/successful they become.

I went in on Thursday to have a gander.h:

As Geir said the stairwell is too dark -it could do with some pictures on the walls to lighten the place up.There were no bad smells from the toilets.:erf:

I recognized some of the staff and dancers (and more to the point they knew me too!!):love3:

I never liked the Dragon music - merely suffered it for the time I was in.The music they played that night was not for me but plenty of others were enjoying themselves.:^^:

The staff were friendly and some looked as good as the dancers.The dancers that night were all slim and had decent figures.I only saw one road map of Issan on one of them.:aww:

I recon I will add this one to my list of drinking dens.:

I went for the second time last night. It's been open now for 8 nights and 2 Saturday nights. It was pretty busy from 10PM to 11:30. I like the place and the layout.

The girls were pretty jazzed up too. The few that I talked to (dancers and staff) were happy with their decision to move from RH or Dragon or wherever they came from just to add a change to their life.

A few days ago, I went into RH in the afternoon just to check out the place now that they have afternoon dancers. Not much there really ... Ok one girl did flicker the candle.

5PM and I was the only customer... I was told that the place gets busier around 7PM, but I just wanted the one drink and to get out of there.

Not on my recommend list...

I read on a blog today that there's a Go-Go bar with Russian dancers (Russian Wave) planning a start up in Soi Easy soon. Anybody checked that one out? Might make a change from Thai birds occasionally.

There was a Russian Lap Dancing place in Jung Ceylon opposite the Irish Times pub at Xmas, but it seems to have closed down.

Never really got a chance to check out the girls or the prices, but would be a nice change.

Was in Roxy last week. Liked the layout, though there did seem a few too many stairs. Didn't like the music. It might have been better played a bit later in the evening, but at 8:30 was just punishing. The DJ needs to look at the size of the crowd, and the time, and adjust volume and playlist accordingly.

All minor stuff and I actually had a pretty good time in there and the girls were fun and some of them were quite attractive.

I do have one major ***** though: I don't mind paying for a drink and I'm happy to pay premium prices for premium drinks, but FFS, put some bloody alcohol in the drink! Get that right and I may be back.

I did Roxy and RH about a week and a half ago. I ended up spending way more time in Roxy as I found the atmosphere there to be a lot more fun and the staff/dancers were a lot more fun to hang out with. They all seemed cool and were in very good spirits.

I was in RH a little on the early side so maybe that affected it but Roxy was definitely the more fun of the two for me (I was in town for only 3 nights unfortunately, ended up at Roxy all three. Only went to RH once)
