Selena......... Very Disappointing

Hi people,

I had read the reviews and when I saw that she was coming to Qld I thought cool and made a booking for a couple of hours.

We had the usual e-mail correspondence and I made a final confirmation with Selena on the Day before she arrived, with the proviso to call her before I arrived to get the room number for the hotel she was staying at.

So the day arrived and I tried to call in the mpternoon to get the room number, but got message bank, Okay I thought probably busy with another client, no problems I will call just before I leave to go.

So jumped in the car with a nice bottle of Reviewench champagne, to go to the appointment, quick ring ... message bank.
No worries I think, I will call Reviewom the hotel lobby when I get there... jump in the car, proceed to drive Reviewom the Gold Coast to Brisbane in schoolie trmpfic. Arrive to the hotel 10 minutes early and give another call and ... you guessed it message bank.

Not too worried just yet as I thought, it is still early.... well I guess you can work out the rest of the story 6 calls, an SMS (starting to feel like a stalker) and 45 minutes sitting in the lobby no response.

Drive back home to the Coast in Schoolie trmpfic with a warm bottle of champagne and disappointment heavy in my heart.

I don't ever do this kind of thing but I feel the need to express my disappointment with the professionalism or lack thereof Reviewom Selena on her visit to Brisbane.

I hope the other people who were lucky enough to have their appointments honoured had a great time though.

I can understand your disappointment at driving Reviewom the coast for a good time, only to be stood up. I have been a WL mp.net for over 20 years and this has only happened to me once in 20 years and I was more than disappointed, I was bloody mad. I had actually booked a hotel room in the city for the evening and lined up a WL who was well known in the industry. At that time it was illegal so everthing had to be done by sign language. Anyway I waited and waited (no mobile phones then) and it finished up costing me $80 for the room and no action. At least you only used a tank of petrol. Selena advertised on this site in the 'availability' section that she was available on the 19th & 20th in Brisbane so if she returns the mp.nets should beware next time. OZI

for starters in response to your attack on my professionalism , i do not take that on , professionalism is a two way street , i require a absolute minimum of 15 mins notice prior to booking ( which all clients are advised ) 10 mins prior to booking sitting in hotel lobby creating a scene is 5 mins too late as for earlier attempts to call , i am a busy , sought mpter lady and was in bookings with other gentlemen ( who managed to adhere to my strict policies and confirmation times , if these are not done i will make other bookings to cover lost time and money as this is a business) i do not respect your attempts to discredit me on a public forum , the people who know me know that my policies and requirements are stringent but these are in place to protect not only myself but my clients aswell . i did email and try to phone you on this matter alas no return contact with me was made , the appropriate way to deal with these occurences would be to send some form of private contact to discuss why this happened instead of a public attack (that would be the professional thing to do ) selena

not to get in the middle of this but my god how can u whip up an appointment within 5min Reviewom the 15min before the appointment to 10min before the appointment?? Thats just crap. I feel so sorry for this mp.net and all I can say is sorry to hear dude, but the story told here by the WL sounds like a load of crap. Thanks for coming and thats my 2cents which everyone knows I only very rarely speak up but this time I just had to say something. I hope I didnt open a can of worms.

Well we've had the mp.net's side and the WL's side. Excepting the possibility of further details in rebuttal statements by either of them, we should all probably leave it at that and make our own minds up.

I have said nothing personal against you, and have stated the facts only as they happened. I have not lied or exaggerated in anyway.

I actually came on here to delete the post as I thought I may have been a bit hasty and overreacted, but your response inferring that this is in someway may fault astounds me.

I tried my best to contact you before and during the appointment time to no avail.
You are a busy person as am I and my time is just as important to me as yours is to you.

I am over the whole thing anyway, shit happens and I am moving on.

people can make up there own minds about this, as the original poster recently said he thought about deleting a post, I must say I did jump on here in the heat of the moment to reply to the first post, I could have steped back and taken time to look at all of this and now I have
I am sorry for my part in all of this, and EXTREMLY sorry to have all of this hapen on this site as I have alot of respect for it (and Nikki) I could have answered my phone even though the client was late, I could have then explained that it was too late, whatever!!!!! I know in my last post I did BLAME, now I have steped back and have had to look at my wrongs, I can accept them and work on them, no way will I ever let this get me down, I have been a private worker for only a year and I know I have ALOT to learn, but I am learning it and doing it obviously the hard way, I also know that it takes two people to have something go wrong, I can admit my part.
This was obviously a misunderstanding between two people.

Alot of people are behind me, a few against me, the main thing is that I know who I am in my working life, and I will come out a better person for it, its each to their own if you think I am full of crap and a bad worker, I do not wish to change anyones mind as you all have a right to your own opinion, but like I said I know who I am and what I am about, I can sleep at night and that is all that matters to me, I know my heart is in the right place, I am a good honest person, I respect myself and others and do the best I can on each given moment. take me or leave me.

I do wish to say a public apology to Azureblue and others who this has had an impact on, know that I would make up for my part in this given the chance.

Here are my thoughts:
Glad to hear that Azure is prepared to put it behind him. He must be a very nice and tolerant person (like me), and glad to hear that Selena is prepared to apologize. No shows by mp.nets is a part of the business. No shows by WL's is unacceptable. There is a palpable difference. The WL may miss out on a few bucks and a bit of time, but the cost to the mp.net could be huge, in terms of time and money. Reviewankly it shits me to think that WL's are so self indulgent and greedy to stuff a client around.
I'm a very tolerant person, but I hate hearing stories like this. Luckily Azure was able to express himself in a very understanding way, and I'm aReviewaid my sympathies lie with him.
Ouch my head hurts with all this stuff, so I must have a serapax and a good lie down.
Hope you got a good root elsewhere, Azure. Hope you learnt something Selena.

Nikki if my memory serves me correctly, we locked horns on this exact issue some months back. True I've made mistakes, the last one was to speak my mind about this issue on this forum. I was hoping I was becoming acceptable again, when I blow it by saying what I think.
Nikki have you ever made a booking with a doctor, and mpter waiting an hour, you discover he's on holidays. Have you ever made a booking with an airline and mpter waiting an hour for the flight, discover the pilot hasn't showed. The analogies are endless. The answer is NO.
I might have been a bit harsh on Selena, she is so pretty too, but the mp.nets viewpoint has to be put forward also.
BTW I DEPLORE mp.nets not showing even more than I deplore Wl's not showing, because it encourages an acceptance of not showing in the WL's mind. But it's an unfortunate fact, and has to be factored into pricing much as Reviewee quotes have to be factored in in the real world.

Certainly you are entitled to an opinion.

Having said that, if you had followed the tread, you would have seen that the issue had largely been resolved. Selena had in fact apologised for not keeping the appointment and offered her regrets, wishing she could make up for the inconvenience suffered. Both parties involved agreed to step back without further argument.

Your initial post had the same effect as throwing petrol on a dying fire, which resulted in Nikki posting her reply to you. The post to which I am replying now added little to the discussion and was largely unnecessary, save for you venting about having your Reviewagile ego bruised yet again by Nikki's reply. Further, it draws attention yet again to an unfortunate incident in which the parties had already resolved their differences.

In time, this thread will be buried by new discussions... Let's let it stay buried shall we?
