ALGONQUIN, Ill. — In the past, submissions for cannabis-related classes for licensed massage therapists were denied by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). However, as the demand for such specialized education continues to grow, the board has recognized the need for higher standards in training and certification.

Approved provider Julie Bevel believes she is the first in the nation to offer cannabis-related education courses through her company, Spa Pro.
