Alright boys time for a rant!

In the thread Casual Massage the topic of supply and demand came up and that is funny because last night I was bored and scanning Leolist and was amazed.
If you look under escorts it seemed to me that the current rates (for any non Asian girl) are ridiculous! $280 - $300 to spend an hour with a girl?
There are some lower cost options but some seem scary and the ones that don't are probably booked up days in advance and even they are looking for close to $200 per hour!
Even the girls at the HE RMT places want $140 up now for 5 minutes work!
I understand I can be "frugal" but wow really?

It says something when girls can travel into YEG and get $160 for just a bodyrub and HE and be booked up solid and we are raving what a GVFM she is!
Makes you wonder how many of the guys who visit these girls are addicted as MM stated and can truly afford to visit these girls?

Another trend I am noticing is the number of girls who state "No Black, Brown, Asian, East Indian, etc guys" I guess business is so good they can literally eliminate large swathes of clients from their audience pool!
Maybe the ethnic guys just try to be smarter with their money? For the record I am a brown guy so maybe that's why I am frugal lol
As a brown guy when I see No "insert race here" I choose not to support them.

I personally have cut back on the hobby to about once a month and now I try to be more choosy.

Here's the secret at any Asian RMT place. Have a price that you want to pay for tip before you go in and be firm with that price once they do the flip and gently graze against your tool while they negotiate a price. 10 times out of 10 they will take any reasonable tip since you already paid for the time frame anyways and giving an HJ is easier then a massage. Good description. I am on board with keeping the school girl giddy mindset I get on the build up, but I have also mentioned that I rarely haggle to help maintain the happiness of the experience.

well - that escort rate has been that way for the last decade, not sure how you didn't know it before, but if its a surprise to you - 300 has been a standard hour for a very long time. the brand new ones charge it. oddly enough, i find more of the long-time ladies are in the 260-280 range. a few of them with a full client list go over 300, consider themselves elite (younger, hot fit bodies, good rep) and go to 350/hr.

you'll be surprised how not-booked-in-advance most of these ladies are - in other words, the rate doesn't necessarily reflect how busy they are. there are a lot of touring ladies to edmonton, we are considered a gold mine compared to most other cities in the country. I know ladies who come from Montreal for almost half of their year. I know a lady who comes 4 of 7 days each week from Kelowna to work an MP. the fact is that the ladies set the prices, and the men either pay it or don't. i've seen rants in CAF for years and years, it doesn't matter. the ladies have the right to set the price based on what they are willing to offer and what they expect men will pay for that offer - thats their right and their business. we have the right to pay it, not pay it, and/or rant on public forums either way

same goes for restrictions - i get that if you're a brown guy, it sucks to get singled out. but its still their bodies, their experience, their rights. Its not always about business being good. its about taking control of their own lives and choices and whatever makes them happy. i can't speak to why those restrictions are a trend, as you see it, i have no idea.

Of course I understand that is the rate and you can pay it or not and has been the rate for awhile but Alberta was also the hottest labour market in the country now has the 3rd highest level of unemployment in the country!

I guess we just stop going .....hope the price reduces due to lack of clientele........when/if they reduce the price we start going again........ then they jack the price due to high demand.

As I said....Toronto is different: different pricing, different attitudes.

One of them is finding that out....the hard way. I am trusting the younger ones, will learn from him in that regard.

I believe we all have to remember: we are representing the color of our skin, our race, our culture. If I move to a country with few white people, I might meet many who only have bad experiences with white people.
Likewise, it may be an uphill climb...earning their respect.

I have no idea what race you are MM, nor should it matter, but why all the “white man/people” talk?
I am lucky to work in a business sector that Is ethnically divers enough to recognize non Caucasian, Female and male, into positions of power (managers, GM’s, VP’s) more than Caucasian. I think I have had to work harder to keep up. They don’t do it for the “import/non import “ ratio, they do it because the person earned it.
I am a massive fan of hard work, regardless of colour. If your having to work twice as hard, you may be working for the wrong company.
Integrity, honesty, and loyalty should be colour blind.
That’s my view through these rose coloured glasses.

1. Skills and ability.
2. Loyalty/Senority

It seems most owners/managers hire their outside friends/experienced people and/or real good "ass kissers"...and are blind to the loyal, hard working, long term employees...right in front of them...that deserve a chance to be trained for a higher position and rate of pay.

In the past I have seen girls who have stated restrictions but as MeBad put it, a bit of charm and their uncertainty of my background usually gets me "in" I just made the decision to stop supporting providers who discriminate.
The fact is racism is everywhere, whites to coloured, coloured to white, white to white and coloured to coloured.

But one thing I have learnt on this board is that people of all nationalities and ages come together for a good happy ending!
Would be interesting to do a survey at some point to see the split of nationalities and ages. We would definitely be able to figure out which providers offer better services to a specific demographics (within reason as you cannot account for things such as client hygiene) and which ones are consistent no matter the customer.

I used to see fs/gfe girls once a month, sometimes even more. My favorite is a touring girl who comes here once a month and is 300+50 extra. I try to see her whenever she's in town because she's just that awesome. Lately, I've been so busy with life and work that I've only seen her once this year.
