Still waitlisted at the university of calgary?

I didn't get accepted for early admission so now I'm waitlisted but its well into august. I've called them several times and they just told me to keep waiting. The problem is, is that the final admission fee is due in a couple of days and I'm kind of freaking out. Does anybody know the percentage of people to get into u of c whilst waitlisted?

I'm already considering ways to break the news to my parents about having to take a year off. They are going to FREAK!!

I got accepted to other universities but I can't afford to go there.

If you're still on the wait list at this point, you're not getting in. I was wait listed in March and got in off the wait list in May sometime. It's August, so if you haven't been accepted as this point they're full.

I don't think it makes much sense that they are making you wait that long! The fall semester starts in less than a month! What are they thinking? I think you should tell your parents the situation your in right now, so that if you have to tell them that you have to take a year off, they will be kind of warned about it already. You can try applying for the spring semester though or you can also tell them that you will get a job to save up for college for the following year.

Try calling them again and explain to them that the admission fee is almost due and that you NEED to know. Maybe they will extend the admission fee deadline for those that were wait listed.
