strict closing times?

so nicke are they keeping this 1am close time pretty strict?i notice the last couple of days that the webcam is off by 110am.
also is it getting busier yet??i am maybe planning a 4 day stopover in a couple of weeks,as i will be in hong kong,but it seems awfully quiet.i prefer quite busy.so i may venture over to the philipines instead.not tried it yet.

Yes, today it was quiet but some days busy, so up and downs. Police close about 1:20 - 1:45 during last 4 days.

hi rikkie yes there are stricter closing times in pattaya and bankok now ,but what is happening is that mobile wagons are appearing everywhere selling cheap booze on the streets,so everyone partys on! ,but there arnt any toilets or bins so everyone is pissing in shop doorways (like they do here in the uk)and chucking discarded food and wrappers onto the streets .

Didi's is a guesthouse and Superstar is also a restaurant I believe which makes things easier, apart from being off the main nightlife area.

There are lot of small karaokebars also open late without any problems.

But the situation now isnt that bad, police is not very strict and most bars can close 02 or later if they want, just turn off the music and/or sign lights.

Sea Dragon is closing 130am mostly. Its funny after 1am with the gogo's in Sea Dragon, no one wants to close first, even if no customers are around. The first one to turn off the lights, the others will soon follow.

It`s like the place I go to when I`m in Bangkok. There located just around the corner of a police box (station). When it`s closing time they just cut the music dim the neons outside and let the people stay for drink. Mostly the police comes inside too for a drink, look around and let them work further. Except for national holidays that`s the only time when they become strict.
