I was thinking how confusing it is with all these acronyms flying about, many are related to what we do, some are used at the ends of our names for professional reasons. So I thought maybe we can help one another out on this thread and name a few and compile a nice list to share.
AOR - Association of Reflexologists
EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique (A meridian therapy)
Freeway CER - Fast Release Entrapped Emotions With a Yawn (A meridian therapy)
ITEC - International Therapy Examination Council
MAR - Member of the Association of Reflexologists
NLP- Neurolinguistic Programming
OT Occupational Therapy/ist
RDA - Reccommended Daily Allowance#
ROM - Range of movement (used in remedial / sports and other similar therapies)
TAT - Tapas Acupressure Technique (A meridian Therapy)
TATh - Thermo-auricular Therapy (aka Hopi Ear Candling)
Vertical Reflex Therapy - A form of therapy performed on the tops of the feet, drawing on the principles of reflexology
VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust
