Like I said before tipping probably doesn't drive up prices as a lone variable but it certainly contributes. When guys give big tips they do encourage her into charging more next time and make her believe she's actually worth more.

I'm cheap and I don't fear anyone having more money than me. What's your answer to that? I think that mongers give big tips to chicas to impress them and to make them believe they're high rollers. I don't tip. I don't want to impress them and I probably make more trips to La Coahuila than Mr. Highroller.

I make up the fact that I don't tip by going there more often than the highroller who disappears from La Coahuila and I end up being a more familiar face down there. Thus, I probably give chicas the impression that I'm the "highroller."

This conversation has gone on forums for 10+ years.

There is always someone who likes to waste his money and there is always someone who is cheap who fears anyone with more money than them.

Yet the price stays more or less the same. Those high rollers are not making the market. No one person can.

It would be very interesting to know what the answer is and more interesting to know the answer on a case by case basis. My guess is that her service doesn't change at all in general. They are who they are and would probably give great service to the next monger for an extra money that was already agreed to and by the way the monger looks but even that won't change a chica from suddenly giving shitty service to great service and vice versa. And we know that paying top dollar doesn't equate to top service.

I wasn't really referring if the chica would give the same monger who gave her a big tip or expensive gift the same service but I think is worth mentioning. My guess is that she will return back to giving her "regular" service because there is no guarantee you will cough up another big reward for her. I think they stay within the median of what their service really is. Not give great or shitty service all of a sudden because of one big payday session or big gift.

Many factors involved here.

Let's say you, Goodquestions, tip a girl 30 dlls, 50% over her regular rate of 60 dlls.
There are girls that will be expecting that same ammount iin tips every time you meet, offering the same service she did last time.

And then again, there might be some that will see the tip as an incentive to be good, and maybe sometime along the road she will be tipped again for services rendered.

What do you guys suppose happens after a chica receives a big tip or expensive gift? Do you guys think their service in general gets better or worst or doesn't change? I was thinking this because I would think they freak out a bit after receiving one or both of these. I'm sure they would gladly take them but freak out and be puzzled and probably think what a "pendejo." I can find a comparable example from a monger's point of view when chicas/ho's don't charge us anymore for P4P. We'll gladly take those sessions but a bit freaked out and puzzled.

Like I said on my other post some chicas already are stubborn about sticking with a high starting asking price. And why does this happen? Because there are guys like you that willingly overpay. Let's be clear a chica is going to look at what you ended up paying her not break it down like $60+$20.

And that's where she ends up thinking she is worth more than she previously thought. And is already proven that you can't negotiate with these chicas because it's well known that they will give shitty service because she didn't get it her way. I don't understand why you want to give her the power to think she's worth a whole lot more.

I find it mindboggling that you are not getting criticized in this thread because all of us have experienced sitting in the bar and have a mesero ask us if we want a particular girl and we say yes and the mesero gives us a ridiculous price. We get up and approach the girl and sure enough she confirms the price. The chicas don't think about the price all by themelves they have other people telling them what they should charge and mongers who pay steep prices.

What is ironic is that when it happens to the guys defending your action they probably get upset and dissapointed. I can't tell you of the countless mongers who have pretty much told me I'm not going to pay no $100 and something for some fucking pussy. Truth be told that if Paraditas were not standing outside bg's would have more liberties to raise their prices because you wouldn't have the option for a quick fix and as it is some chicas are already doing it because of your kind of actions.

Now a car is the biggest "tip" a hobbyist can give. I've heard of mongers giving cars to chicas too. In the back of their minds the girls are thinking this guy is a "tonto." True PLM.

MONEY DOES NOT EQUAL SERVICE. You are not necessarily going to get better service by giving her more money. Chicas either service you well, or they don't, and that service can definitely change over time.

I have never given anything extra to any puta before, but I gave this "special" chica a nice perfume ($30-50 value), and the next time her service was the WORST. NO GFE, limited kissing, don't want me to kiss her cheek, don't want me to hug her, don't allow me to hold her breast. Almost zero eye contact. Mostly she wanted to just lay there spread her legs open and doing nothing else if possible. WTF. This girl was good. Seems the better I treat her, the worst she treats me. Because I treated her well and visited her a lot, she thinks she has the golden pussy now and I'm going to throw money at her. This puta won't get another dollar from me. EVER.

I have to side with Goodquestions about tipping, i.e. don't do it. I calculate my total costs including driving and really I'm not saving much money by going to TJ, and TJ keeps on increasing their prices. Rooms cost more. Extra tip for bringing girl outside. Potato chip scams (they don't even ask if you want it. They just put it down and assume it's yours. One waiter even had the nerve of opening the potato chip bag and placing it in front of me). Extra for parking. More for gas. It's a 2 hour drive for me so that's ~ $23 -25 of gas right off the bat and the 4 hour round trip can be tiring if going there a lot. On a total cost per act basis, the prices on the internet in the US are only somewhat more than going to TJ, and the girls in the US have their own rooms or can come visit you, so you save on that and zero bar tabs. If you average 30 trips a year and $200/trip, then that's $6,000 a year. Some guys may come even more, i.e. weekly, then that's $10,000 annual cost of going to TJ.

Thanks for Burt on clarifying that tipping does not increase prices, but I think service may suffer for those girls spoiled from extra tips. $60 for 30 minutes is already a lot of money for them.

Wow! looks like I stired the pot here. I did not mean to rouffle anyone's feathers. I agree with some post here that support the notion that tipping does not drive up prices. There are other factors like economy, demand and the chica's situation that have far greater influence on prices. Like my post said, I negotiate for "better service" and in the case of my ATF, I got it. I tell the girl if she trows something extra so will I and when she does I normally do not exceed 5. Come on, whats a Lincon, really? Diana's 20 was an isolated incident that I do not regret because she just had me going nuts! I mean this girl fucks like a star fucker's wet dream!

There have been a few times when I let the girl know I tip for better service but when they dont come through for me I do not tip squat. I tell them why too. Sometimes I give the girls a lecture about shitty service and how we often drive 200+ miles to get there and it's not for shitty service.

There are guys that spend everything on prostitutes be it in Mexico or their home town. I know of at a minimum of 10 chicas that had cars given to them...didn't change anything except now the chica did not have to take taxis and she had to buy gas and oil, tires, etc.

Let's start with as a general practice I don't tip.

It's obvious some of the above posts come from guys who are clueless. Guys without any real experience in Tijuana.

Those who know me, know I started mongering before most guys in the ZN busted their first nut. Also, that I've lived and mongered in TJ for years. So let me explain the facts of life:
Tipping does not raise prices. That's a historical fact.

As Amigomio says, the going rate in the ZN is $60.00 for 30 minutes. For those of you who don't know how things work in the ZN, chicas in TJ have been receiving tips for years and tipping hasn't raised prices or lowered the standard of service.

You "Cheep Charlies" can relax. You're not going to have to pay more because somebody tips a chica.

Goodquestions... you base your thesis on really shakey grounds.

I mentioned somewhere in another post that you sounded like a newbie.
Well we can add "inexperience" to your curriculum.

You see, between the lines you are saying that the girls are stupid.
They are not.
The asking prices IS the asking price and their asking price is 60 dlls for 30 minutes.
What comes AFTERWARDS is an added value that will not affect their asking price.

For example: I go to an MP where they offer services for 200 pesos for 20 minutes.
I tip the girl 200 pesos for a good service (which I do) but that will not change the starting price to 400 next time am there.

Another example: In the US you are extorted to tip 15-20% the waiters.
That will not make the menu go up cause it's money on the side of what is being stablished as the starting price.

Same with ho's.
Perhaps one monger tipped the girl 33% over the asking price, but this guy is ONE exception to the rest of the cheapskates that use her services and will not give her an extra cent even if she excelled herself with the customer.

The girls know much better than the customers to raise their prices.

I think it is pretty damn arrogant to try to impress your values on others. There is no right way to monger. You have sg's, bg's, walkers, massage chicas, escort chicas, transvestites....each person can make their own decision.

I think is stupid and I'm talking about you Sampsonrico and The Judge to praise what Tatas4me did. This chick Diana asks for 60 for 30 minutes and he tipped her 33% of her asking price. I don't know what stopped him at 33%, he should have gone for 50%.

The problem I have is that Darshman is correct that these kind of outrageous tips will only drive prices up. The girls in La Coahuila are going to talk(and you know they do) about how some idiots tip them too much. They too will try to gun for those dollars and if they don't get that kind of money with a monger they are going to give him crappy service.

At $80+ starting asking price for 30 minutes will defeat the purpose of heading down there. We can get those kind of prices(and even lower)here so we mine as well stay put and avoid all the hassles. Let me tell you something else Sampsonrico mongers in Southern California can survive without La Coahuila because we have enough poon of every flavor so if mongers contribute to skyrocketing prices it will only drive more Americans out of there. As it is there is less Americans heading down there.

I agree. Changed my mind. One should negotiate for a fair rate and then tip, preferrably to what she was originally asking. Or better yet, just pay her opening price and tip on top of that. I think that sounds sensible.
