I am after some favours....

since the age of 11 i have been a member of a local athletics clube. I've travelled and competed around the world with them. They have given me opportunities that many people would not get!

We have entered a competition to gain funding to run coaching sessions in all leicestershire schools - many schools can't afford to train up teachers who can specailise in athletics coaching and as a result many just send them running round a field in the wet and cold.

WHAT INITIATIVES HAVE Been SUBMITTED?
Of course Wayne has submitted the Running Idol idea, which for people who don't know is where children aged 10 to 18 who havent done much athletics before are tested and measured in a number of different disciplines with the intention of finding undiscovered talent. It works on the "pop idol" concept as competitors have to keep advancing to the next level in order to win.

The other ideas that he has submitted are Running Routes (as described by Wayne, "We are a scheme identifying talent by providing routes and athletics activity stations in Leicester City parks that can be used by anyone and everyone to gain and measure their fitness") and Talent ID Scheme (as described by Wayne, "We implement simple activity programmes at schools and public spaces that test young people's physical capacities. We identify those with talent, offering them free access to our club coaching sessions").
