Kannauj, Feb 24 (KNN) The Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) is organising a training cum workshop to provide an overview of educational, technological and commercial aspects of essential oils, fragrances and aromatherapy right from natural sources to application stage including quality assessment, blending and processing technologies.
The programme is scheduled from March 14 to 16, 2015 at Connaught Hotel in New Delhi.
Technical session of the course will cover the topics like Opportunities in Essential oils, Perfumery & Aromatherapy and its Basics, Sources, Prospects, Organic Cultivation and Economics of Essential Oils, Aroma in Ayurveda, Extraction methodology for Fragrant Raw Materials, Value addition in Essential oils, Quality Assessment of Essential oils, Therapeutic & Perfumery Values of Aromatic Plants, Safety and Regulatory Aspects of Perfumery and Aromatherapy and Scientific Basis of Aromatherapy.
Individual from various sector like for scientists, teachers, persons engaged in aromatic and medicinal plants activities, cosmetologists, aroma therapists, doctors, practitioners of alternative therapies, beauty experts and entrepreneurs who want to enter this field will be participating in the programme.
The major activities of FFDC include cultivation, processing, quality assessment and standardization of aromatic plants, development of fragrances and flavours and training on all aspects of essential oils, fragrances and flavours. (KNN/ST)
