Yeah I'm starting to realize that I'm rarely satisfied with Plan B, even if the session is perfectly fine. I end up fixating on the failed Plan A and don't enjoy myself. At least at an MP there's usually someone else available right there. With SPs you either have to wait or find someone else on short notice.
