I was feeling tight all over yesterday and since my #1, 2 and 3 options were not available, I thought I would try someone new for a massage. I managed to get a 60 minute appointment with Nia. There was some miscommunication but eventually it was sorted out. The massage started off not great - didn't use any oil and lots of friction. I guess she saw how tight my back muscles were and started a bit too eagerly. After a couple of minutes she clued in and used oil and it was much better. Very deep pressure. It was basically like every muscle in my body was a big knot and she pretty much attacked it pretty thoroughly. Hurt like a mofo but in a good way. Heck, it was good enough that I opted to skip the HE and have her continue to massage everywhere. Traps, lats, rhomboids, delts, glutes, hamstrings, calves, quads... she got my triceps but not my biceps (which weren't sore). And maybe not my delts or pecs or ankles but that's ok. she was good everywhere else and you can only do so much in an hour.
Long story short - legit deep painful massage that I greatly appreciated. Will definitely come back to continue to loosen up these muscles.
Damage was $55 for the hour, and she suggested $25 for tips, but YMMV. I went a bit more than that because it was later after the closing time and she definitely put in a lot of effort.
Nice review.
Agreed that Nia's deep tissue massage is really good.
