I highly recommend the book "Paying For It" by Chester Brown. It's a comic book/graphic novel and Brown is actually from Toronto and the stories in it take place here. He tells the story of seeing SPs across the city from his first experience to becoming a "regular" with a few ladies he has relationships with. In between he's having open, philosophical conversations/debates with his friends about why "paying for it" is a rational, ethical lifestyle choice for him (not for everyone) and how society would be better if transactional sex was normalized. (eg not just prostitution but negotiating a price with a normal girl you ask out, etc).

If Massage Planet Toronto ever had a "Book Club" this would definitely be the perfect one to start with.

The author has written a few other "serious" comics but that's the only one on that subject. I haven't really looked for other books on the hobby but discovered that one because I like graphic novels. It looks like you can get it online in Kindle and Kobo store, on Comixology and you can download a torrent of it on PirateBay.

2. Spas open strategically... visible but discreet... & they consider income, how many spas nearby... underlying assumption, their clients= everywhere, but $$$ more abundant some places... spa concentration can be gd, guys shopping, but then there will be deserts nearby

...I think conservative guess 5% of all healthy adult males... work colleagues, fellow religionists, family, friends, clients, vendors... you prolly meet a few every day pre-COVID... u likely know a handful...

...SP are likely getting most business... spas are not everywhere, sp are definitely everywhere... some don't advertise much or just in special places, really hard to estimate...

I get the feeling that many of us hobbyists are actually pretty decent folk, and if we had a vice, it would be the hobby. It's a shame really. If it weren't for the hobby, I think I'd be a basketcase in real life. I've learned so much about women, people and myself that I'm a completely different person from what/who I was before I discovered the hobby. Of course, having an outlet like these forums had a lot to do with it too.

Most of my university/frat bothers know it, well, they're on same boat Other than that, I kept to myself.

This hobby maintain my sanity. I have no other vices. For the most part it's my only outlet. It does help, especially after a long week of work, projects, deadlines, meetings, phone calls, documentations, etc...You add all these....It is stressful. The MP's and SP's will do the trick

Unfortunately, North America is still too naive about this profession. I would say us here in Canada is lucky and way better/blessed that any parts in US. Canada, rocks! But, to compare to Amsterdam, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and even Vietnam...They are way ahead of us. Take note I did not line up Thailand or Philippines. These are different beast or you might end up with one of ladyboys

This is related to the topic of this thread.
A number of years ago, I was a member of a board similar to this in another city.
They had different levels of membership.
Everyone was a regular member.
Then, if you proved yourself to be a valuable reviewer, you would be invited to join the VIP group. Other VIP members could nominate new VIP candidates. Posts in the VIP section were a bit more detailed than the regular section.
If you proved to be a great VIP member, you would be invited to join the platinum group. To join this group, you had to be nominated by another platinum, member, then you had to meet with some of the platinum members for lunch. This was to ensure that everyone could elevate their level of trust within the group. Again, more details were shared at this level. There weren't that many members at this level. Lunches were held periodically. Some of the discussions were quite lively.
There was one more level above platinum and I can't even remember what it was called but there was only a handful of us in that group. It was mostly just the admins and mods.

This system worked very well for a number of reasons.
Mostly trust and knowing where to get the best information.
Bear in mind that this was years ago and not all info could be shared freely without getting the spa or the MPA in trouble.

Out of those groups, a few friendships were formed.

A couple of High School friends I grew up with know. We all use to go here and there, but wasn't often like 5 times max. Mostly strip clubs.

Then, when I was a college student and working part-time, a co-worker I use to chill with would frequent all the time. We became close buds so it was all jokes. Would always as if I got a BJ (This was before extras were a big thing).

More recently, one of my co-workers basically exposed he goes to spas and sees escorts but I laughed and played it off. One time a group of us go out for lunch and he mentioned something getting a hand job at a MP, All of us made that guilty laugh. Then another time he was showing me something in his phone notes and one of the list was Asian Sexy Babe with a few girls names on it. He played it off like "And here's some girls from ASB hehe" and moved on. Yeah, safe to say I wont be sharing any secrets with him.

Other than that I wouldn't dare shed light of this hobby to anyone. Don't really care about getting laughed at, It's the possibility of gossip I can't risk.

I have no shame in sharing my hobby to my close friends. Those who r married or in a relationship envy me. Those who r single plays even harder me (SP, Strip club, after hr incall In C-Town) I only frequent spas, cos I need good massage due to my career. Started with legit, then gradually to “holi“. In spa, there’s always the “will she or will she not” factor involved and that’s the thrill of it.
